MGR Elitz is our alumini club,who are very much interactive and render their valuable time by participating in various seminars,workshops,conferences and even take internships in their architectural firms.

Entrance Preview :

NATA - 90 good infrastructure and faculty members. good studio and classrooms with an excellent library with more than 1000 no of books. feasible fee structure.Good campus location.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is very good . The syllabus focuses a lot on research based design problems and solutions.we do have software classes regularly. we have construction technology, landscape and interior design as disciplines for masters. we have sustainable architecture, urban design, entrepreneurship development etc...

Internships Opportunities :

yes our college provides internship for students and refer students to our alumini architects for internships. generally 5,000/- is the basic stipend given to the students. Based on the students performance the stipend may increase.

Placement Experience :

Every year we offer a wide range of internships for students in areas such as product development, production, finance and administration, marketing and business development. The prerequisites and application procedure may differ with different fields of work, but we always select our interns based on how we will mutually benefit from working together.

College Events :

symposium sketch 2018 conferences at national level. world architectural day. cultural fest arch thiruvizha. old madras day celebration. Akkineni 2018 are different cultural and educational fest in our college. technical research paper presentation will be held in every 2 months.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees structure is very feasible. Semester fees are 90,000/- Bank loans are also provided for students who cannot afford. Management also offers a concession for weaker category students. Nominal fee structure with good transport facilities. good infrastructure.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes bank loan facilities are provided for students who opt for. students are also encouraged with scholarships based on their meritorious performance in the academics. Apart from scholarships ,honourable president awards are also offered.

Campus Life :

Our college is located at a very good focal point with good infrastructural facilities.transportation facilities are also good. we have sports events, inter college competitions, seperate sports coaching for both boys and girls. cultural events,debates,symposiums, conference are also a part of the curriculam.

Hostel Facilities :

Separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Both AC and non AC rooms are available. Very hygienic rooms well maintained with both north Indian and south Indian food for the students. SAFE PLACE FOR GIRLS AND BOYS WITH ALERT SECURITY SYSTEMS.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes they are very much active and keeps in touch with the institute.They are all well placed and render lectures regarding their experience on particular field they are engaged on. QUITE VERY MOTIVATIONAL TO THE STUDENTS.

Exam Structure :

we have two continuous assessments. CAT 1 and CAT 2 before the commencement of the final exams. we have separate panel boards and viva voce for design. individual marking is given to the students based on their performance and the results are intimated immediately to their respective parents.

Admission :

I got admission through meritorious grade. For under graduate students we have to register for nata and write the exam. management is quiet approachable and we have a strong admission team who are always available and help us anytime we approach them.

Faculty :

Most of our faculty members are postgraduates and doctorates with good professional experience and good expertise. mostly all the staff members are dedicated and strive hard to get the best out of their students. Easily accessible professional faculty members, kind enough to mold their students to achieve their goals.

MGR university can be considered for pg studies in architecture

Course Curriculum Overview:

A Master's in architecture with a specialization in construction project management is available only at MGR University in the state of Tamilnadu and my interest in studying project management leads me here. Had a strong faculty and students, masters courses do only have 20 seats and all the seats have been filled. Most of the faculties teaching for M.arch have either doctorates or have rich experience in the field of architecture as well as in the field of education. Cat exams were there in the gap of 1 month and can pass the exams easily.

how was my master journey

Admission:

Admission to the M. Arch program was on the basis of the TANCET exam, conducted by the authorities of Tamil Nadu state. I got a call for the counselling process, and after the verification of documents I was granted admission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course structure was very helpful for me in terms of making me familiar with the ins and outs of the architectural world. The syllabus was mix of learning the importance of aesthetics and the technological advancements in the field of architecture.
