Campus, environment, facilities and faculty. No dress code
Infrastructure is nice and large and well maintained.

Dislikes

Sports equipments and kits as you will get all after 3 pm.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This is a Unique course. There are very few colleges having this AEIE course. It gives you both the opportunities of IT jobs as well as Core sector jobs as it has both Electronics and Instrumentation. Here faculty is excellent. Their qualifications are high level and their teaching is excellent. Faculty to student ratio is 1:5 which is really good. You will get an ISOI chapter membership and many other opportunities. Exams are timely termed and if you study regularly and attend the classes sincerely it is easy to pass.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 94000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides a minimum of 3 internships out of which 2 are paid. Several projects can be done and researched as faculties are very helpful. Clubs will provide information about the workshops and seminars.

Placement Experience :

Placement is really good. I am a 1st year student so I have little idea about that. But last year's batch of my stream got 100% placement with a 6-8 lpa average. After B. Tech my target is to crack Gate and complete M. Tech.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is what you expect from a private Institute. But it is less than other private colleges in Kolkata. Fees are high as it is private but it is expected. I didn't get any scholarship so I can't say anything about that. Job placement this year is 100% in the AEIE course.

Campus Life :

The college campus is nice and peaceful. It has a well-maintained social environment. The infrastructure is excellent. Classrooms are large airy and digitalised. There are many clubs where you can join and enjoy your college life. There are two main large playgrounds and it has several extra curriculum activities. Recently I participated in a Robotics Workshop organised by seniors.

Admission :

For eligibility you have to first pass your 12th examination and then clear either JEEMAINS Or WBJEE.I cleared WBJEE. Then you will get notified after the results about the choice filling forms and counseling process through the WBJEE website. I got a 17131 rank in WBJEE registered for WBJEE Counselling and filled the choices. In the first-round mock result, got an AEIE(Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering) in the Heritage Institute of Technology. But then changed the choice filling list and in the first round result, got Electrical Engineering in Purulia Govt. Engineering College. Then opted for upgradation and again got AEIE in HIT and then took admission in this stream. The counselling process should be more earlier.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
