Low Fees structure is really good to see here.
Location is in the main town like kolkata.

There are very low quality of infrastructure.
Very few hostel are there. So needed student can't get hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have a mechanical engineering course. I love this engineering course as you know this branch is the mother of engineering. We can see everyday examples like car machines which all are related to this course. Their faculty are good. About 1:50 ratio.

Class Size : 150Course Fees : INR 6000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is very low. It's about 6000 per month. We can do engineering below 10000 per month is really good. At this moment I have no scholarship. But I see if any kind of scholarship I got I will be thankful.

Campus Life :

Yeah, there are many things like the annual fest. But still, we have no annual fest right now. let's see. There are sports competitions also available. As a new student, I didn't go to any kind of social group or club. The college conducts the tech fests every year.

Admission :

There are admission processes like we have an exam called wbjee. And according to this rank, we got ju. There are reservation seats also. overall our institution is good but if there is little change in infrastructure it will be better.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Students from 5th semester onwards become eligible for campus placements TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, and Redhat are just a few examples of some service-based companies that offer placements to uem kolkata students. The highest package was 72 LPA and the average was 8.8 LPA. Almost 70-80% got placed. After getting the degree I want to be a javascript developer

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
