Review about the Unknown Programme ( IMsc Optometry ) in UOH

Dislikes

  • Hostel's bathrooms and toilets get dirty fast as many people use them.
  • Management is inefficient and takes moths to solve any issue

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was looking for Para Medical corses as the Cut-off for NEET is too high to get into a good college and Programme 20:5 Everyone is Phd Gradute and some of them did their masters and Phd in Australia., Almost all of them teach using Slides Exams were conducted timely , Passing was fairly easy if you are Prepared.

Internships Opportunities :

After 3rd year ( 6th Semester ) we have to apply for intership in hospitals for 1 year. No steipnd are provided we have to check and diagnose the pateints visiting the Hospital, they recruit us for eyechecks.

Placement Experience :

After 6th semester (3rd Year) it is compulsary for all the students to do a 1 year Internship to avail their Bachelors degree. Highest package was 6 lakh per annum. All the students usually get placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Its affordable if we compare the fees to other Government and Private Universities in India .Fee Hike won't be an Issue as the current student union is against fee hikes. DAG ( Digital Access Grant ) is the Scholarship offered by the University which is 1000 rs per month or you can avail your state scholarships and their is special benefits for Telengana students.

Campus Life :

"SUKOON" is the annual fest and it is conducted on the month of april and many other events are also organised by different departments, Schools and Communities in the campus throughout the Year. Books and journals are available in the Cental Library (IGML - Indra Gandhi Memorial Librabry) but different Schools and departments also have their own library realed to their Programmes. It has almost all the facilities and grounds both indoor and outdoor sports like ( Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Table tennis, Badminton, Cricket, GYM, Yoga Centre ) There are many social groups and clubs for students from differnt streams.

Hostel Facilities :

2 closet, 2 beds, 2 tables and chairs and High spped internet are provided in the room (which obviosly you have to share with a roomate ). Breakfasts are good, Lunch is average, Dinner is Usually Terrible ( Basically a down slope graph ), Registration Process is very easy it is usually done during admission councelling

Admission :

12 pass out from CBSE or any state board with (Physics, Chemistry, Biology,) Compulsary and Maths Optional CUET samarth website / NTA Website , ( NTA Decides the dates and fees ) 2 seats are reserved for ST candidates. No, not paticularly

Other Applied Colleges

Pondicherry University - [PU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Applied Geology)

Campus and university rank is much better and the university is located in the tech city .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose biotechnology in my bachelor's because if it comes to the science stream in 12th most of us try to get a medical seat due to tough competition and lack of knowledge we may not get the medicine seat. In that case, we have to choose another course i have chosen biotechnology to prior my master too in it and develop my career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The practical knowledge I could say is good enough to gain knowledge in this field but compared to the btech biotech BSc includes comparatively less practical training. We were only given glimpse and theory of specific experiments due to unavailability of certain equipments. Exams are however manageable to certain extent but comparing to other life sciences this course is bit difficult to deal with.
