  • Hostel: The quality of hostel rooms and the cleaning of hostels was a big drawback. It would be better if the toilets and the floors are cleaned regularly

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have got a seat in the Political Science department. Right from my intermediate I had a keen interest in political science so I just applied for every university that offer political science. Luckily I got the best university in the case of political science. It is one of the strongest departments in this university. The faculty was too good in political science. We have 3 internals and an end-semester exam. However, these exams are not that easy to pass we have to give our highest input.

Internships Opportunities :

The internships are provided by the university itself. Every department provides its students with several internships. We also have placements mainly in the departments belonging to the sciences. In arts, we have fewer placements compared to sciences.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As it is a central university the fees here are very low compared to other private universities. We have around 2000 for every semester. And the hostel fee is 500 per year. We have scholarships in the name of DAG(digital access grant) which provide 800 per month approx. The placements are very limited in social sciences but in sciences it was good.

Campus Life :

The happiest thing to say is that life at the University of Hyderabad is awesome. We can't get this type of life anywhere. We have a lot of fests like department freshers and language freshers or region freshers and a lot. We have one of the biggest libraries in india named IGML (Indira Gandhi Memorial Library) and we have a website for that which makes it easy to search the book you want. We also have a gym and yoga center and many other sports facilities. Coming to the groups, a lot of groups are running in our university like Nischaya for civil aspirants and Shape You Thoughts, Junior Science Club.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facilities are not up to the mark of a central university with the institute of eminence. We have 14 boys hostels and 10 girls hostels overall. For every room, 2 students are alloted randomly. And we have a common bathroom not an attached one. While the mess is somewhat better, we have a lot of items on the menu ranging from day to chicken. We have specials twice a week. It's all your interest whether you want specials or not.

Admission :

The admissions were through the CUET exam. It was a national exam and the eligibility is an intermediate pass. You can find all the details on the NTA official website. The cut-off will depend on the university you have applied for. In my opinion, it should be above 90%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we have a native Teacher it helps us to learn the language as well as the culture too. And the conversation practice prepares us for real world . The curriculum also provides us with multiple workshop for us to participate to our own interests. On the improvement factor, it needs to be addressed that grades do not matter as because it will show how much you know regardless of your grades. The exams are conducted per sem, with 3 tests before mid term and 3 tests after mid term which also has creativity things like video or audio submission as well .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Courses are very interesting and very helpful for our future endeavours. The Courses like gender studies, environmental science, fundamentals of music, dance studies, English literature and many other course give wider perspective of the electives and help to develop a multidisciplinary thinking capacity for students and develop a good idea of knowledge on all spheres. The social science students can also take elective from other science departments like maths, physics, geology, biology and etc... The NEP is implemented fully in the campus and it helps the students in overall development. The timing of classes for undergraduate students starts at 8am and ends at 6pm . But it differs to the course selection and a student maximum have 5 hours of class a day.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose language sciences. Linguistics is the science of language and linguists are the scientists who apply the scientific method to question the nature and functions of language. linguists conduct formal studies of speech sounds, grammatical structures, and meanings.

From sem 5 students become eligible for campus placements. I see my seniors doing internships at college as well as even they go to other companies. Approximately a student should get around 80 percent to get college placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

All of the courses provided by the Institute are very Unique and have their own value but as I am very fond of Interior design so I chose this course. It Is a 3-year full-time course where you will not only learn but practice in detail about Designing. You will have the chance to meet some of the best interior designers. The faculty members of the institute are well-trained professionals and some of the best designers in India.
