Exploring College Life: Unveiling the Prafulla Chandra Experience

Since it's B.COM Hons. we get to study all the subjects related to finance and management with a spark of economy of the counntry. I generally chose this college to get a degree in Finance and I've plans to do further study in this course and become a cost-accountant of a reputed firm. The faculties over here are very educated and well behaved. We get the utmost cooperation from their side. We often get unofficial help regarding our studies from them. The faculty:student ration of our college is 137:2 and of our class is 57:1. All the faculty members are highly educated and well trained. They all are very experienced faculties since they are teaching over 10-20 years in our college. Their teaching method is all good but what hinders is lack of new teaching method in them since many of them are old. Semesters exams happen twice a year, the checking of the paper is quite decent. The quality of the paper is not very easy to pass if you not prepare well from the beginning of the semester.

In Prafulla Chandra College,we've experienced fees structure of 5500/- annually, that means a sum total of 16500/- (approx.) for our 3 years of study for B.COM Honours. Rather than that we've to give around 420 per semester(B.COM Hons.) for maintenance charge,etc.

Since it's a night college, life is very boring. Either you attend the lectures or you've to be out of the college. There's no way to rome over here. Yes we've the corridoors but that's of no use. The canteen over here is not at all hygeinic. There's a basketball ground in our college, but as I mentioned earlier thats it's a night college ! The infrastructure is all basic as it's a government college. Yes, we've projectors, but those are hardly used, not on a regular basis.

Well there wasn't any as such entrance exam in our college(Prafulla Chandra College). Admission forms were distributed in the college portal and we had to chenk and fill it up. We had to mention our 10th and 12th grade with best of 4 marks. The eligibility criteria was to have atleast 40 marks(H.S) in the subject in which honours is to be taken. Rather than that we must have had atleast 40 marks in the language paper(H.S). We had to attach our marksheets of 10th and 12th board exam as .jpeg format. The fees of B.COM Hons. is 5500/- yearly basis. For B.COM General is around 5000/- yearly. After 12th examamination college updates its application form and uploard it in the college portal. Rather than B.COM we've B.A and B.SC streams too. Students can select their language in the 1st semester only i.e, english/bengali. Sice it's a night college, attendence is not an issue. The internals are conducted in our college in the online medium. Absolutely there are benefits for the caste students.
