  • Canteen charges, infrastructure and unavailability of bus for students
  • Nursing students have to do clinical duty throughout the whole academic year.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen this course by myself as a dream. Faculty: student ratio is 2:10 Faculties are well qualified and experienced. Term exams are usually taken on time and it's too much difficult to pass because of the lack of one's own time for studies. Throughout the year, we have to go for clinical postings, assignments presentations, practicals, micro-teaching, seminars and regular classes is also there, so it's very difficult to pass the term exams.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship students have to go for clinical postings regularly to help the staff nurse to attend and take care of the patients and perform all the necessary tasks like patient medication administration following the 10 rights, performing personal hygiene for the semiconscious and unconscious patients and other pieces of stuff too.

Placement Experience :

Our college has its own hospital(Vydehi Hospital, aka, Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre). It's a NABH-accredited multiply speciality hospital, and one of the top colleges or hospitals of optimum & highest level giving care hospital. It provides campus placement offers for students from all the departments of the Vydehi Group of Institutions. Internship students are not provided with stipends and salaries. The average salary for freshers in nursing is 13000-14000. Any well-qualified students from any other colleges in Bengaluru can join this hospital for the job through a short interview method.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure was affordable 2year back, but recently it has hiked to a small extent. Yearly or once in 2-3 years, Rs. 5000-6000 is increased. Scholarship is there for Government quota students only, no other scholarship or financial assistance is provided to the regular-seat students. we are forced to do clinical posting/duty throughout the year from the very beginning, i.e. from 1st year itself.

Campus Life :

The lamp Lighting Ceremony is there for 1st-year freshers students after 1-2 months of the beginning of class. Numerous books & journals are available in our college library. The class is well-spaced, well ventilated, lots of lights and fans are there in the classrooms, presentation classroom is also there. Previously sports and programmes didn't hold in our college for 20 years, but for SNA(Students Nursing Association) meeting this current year, many programs and sports days are being conducted in our college. There's a Facebook page of our college, named Vydehi Institute of Nursing Sciences and Research Centre Unofficial, which is run by students.

Admission :

Our college doesn't take any entrance exam for admission. Direct admission is possible. Eligibility - 12th pass/PUC+2 Application form is available in the college account section & admission fees and course fees will be mentioned there only or else you can get it from any student of our college or admin office.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the Nursing profession because I like to help needy people who facing health problems and I want to support poor people, I want to educate people in health education. And how to avoid health problems. There are too many faculties for each and every subject. And there are 80 seats for students including a government seat. The good thing is college is approved by the Indian nursing council(INC). Teachers are too humble and qualified. The way of teaching is too easy to catch for an average student.
