Good road connectivity, college is on the highway so directly from bus we can reach here
Pondicherry is nice place to enjoy and to roam, there is a beach in Pondicherry where we can go and can sit there

Dislikes

Hostel fees is very high and the fees does not match with the service offered in hostel
There is no placement in college and very few companies visit and that too they take very few students

Course Curriculum Overview :

I like mechanicals hence choosen the course. Student: teacher ratio is 1:70. Faculties are well qualified, most have done their PhD from IIT The teaching method is not so good but ok Exams happen timely and if you study it is easy to get good marks

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible after 6th sem Very few companies visit for mechanical, like MRF 3lpa Go speedy go 3.5 lpa Kone elevator 3 lpa Whirlpool 10lpa And 2 companies more There is very less placement in the college Highest package: 10lpa whirlpool and that too only 1 girl was selected Average: 3lpa 25% placement My plan is to write gate and get into a good college

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees were very low i.e. 30k for 1 year. I don't have any idea about scholarships. But if you are from Pondicherry then the fee is 15k for 1 year and if you are SC of Pondicherry then the fee is free. Campus job is difficult to get here

Campus Life :

Fest does take place and there are many different fests in different departments, in the fests they have games and quizzes and anybody can participate but they have enrollment fees for that. Library books you can find and can take also but you have to return in 15 days and the library does not open after 5 pm. The classroom has a projector and also a blackboard Sports happen but everybody can not participate in that There are no clubs which are run by students

Hostel Facilities :

In the hostel room there will be 2 to 3 people with you and 2 tables and 2 chairs and 3 cupboards and the room is ok only 3 coats and mattress we have to bring ours and no attached washroom. Meal quality is poor and the menu is mostly south Indian. For the hostel also after coming to college only we are allocated rooms and hostels are costly.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

Admission is based on main rank and after the jee results we have to fill out the form of this college separately and post it to the required address and then they will call the college for counselling.

Unsaid truth

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course is pretty easy to cope up with , so that u get more time to prepare for other exams. Curriculum is prepared in such a way that it makes u ready to appear for gate and other similar exams. Provide more technical knowlegde related to subjects mentioned in the gate syllabus. There are 2 class test exams and then one final semester exam.

National institute - advantages and disadvantages

Placement Experience:

The college gives good placements for mostly all of the branches and you can get an average package of 12 lakh per annum. Getting a placement in civil might be difficult unless you study hard and do some good internships. Mechanical and computer science has good placements compared to other branches
