Course Curriculum Overview
I chose agriculture subject for my bachelor's degree, this is one of the most lengthy courses with 8 semesters in four years and approximately 10 courses per semester. The student-faculty ratio is very low in this university, only 20% of staff is there currently in college, with many departments with only a single faulty. The faculty present is highly qualified and delivers excellent knowledge to students. They provide excellent laboratory learning. Exams are conducted as per the schedule mostly, the rest of the things like registration for exams, and result declaration may take a little longer than they should.
Fees and Financial Aid
They provide 2 types of seats which are available according to your marks in the entrance exams. Normal and payment seats, with normal seats having a fee of approximately 10k per semester, while the payment seat has a fee of about 35k per semester. The fee is very less comparatively if you get normal seats. Scholarship for girl students studying agriculture is provided by the government of Rajasthan which is around 25k per year. In the 7th semester, students have to go for the RAWE program (RURAL AGRICULTURAL WORK EXPERIENCE) to various KVKs for 1 semester for which you get an 18k stipend.
Campus Life
The university organises tech fests, and various social programs on a regular basis. Library facility is available with all the books that can be required by any student, the university also publishes its own monthly magazine. Classrooms are spacious with projector facilities. A great opportunity for students who love sports with various playgrounds for different games. You can also issue sports equipment for yourself. Various extracurricular activities are organised for students, with inter-college games, and different competitions. Many groups and clubs like eco club, NSS, NCC, Scout and Guide group, etc. Are also there.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are nice with ambient space in rooms, the food in the mess is also very good, on Sundays you get Sunday specials meals which are delicious. The hostel is very good, with a friendly and supportive environment. The college is located in a very good place, there are plenty of places available for renting like PGs etc. Where you can easily get rooms, various cafes, and restaurants are in the near vicinity where you can go on weekends. The college campus is located in very close vicinity to various tourist places in Udaipur.
