Dislikes
- A classroom could be better to learn. It may leads to borey session if they dont focus on digitalization
- Restroom and Hostel could be much better because we need to go one block to another for restroom. It is far away from the academic blocks
Course Curriculum Overview :
I fear for the subject callee Maths. I don't want to choose Engineering because it contains M1&M2 papers. I don't want to confuse my brain with logical maths terms. That's why I choose BCA. The Twist is maths is followed me in this course for 2 years. Faculty: one HOD for the dept and followed by the Asst. Professors for each subject. One Mentor is assigned for the class for monitoring students. Qualifications of the Faculty: Must be a degree holder and B.ed or M.ed in teaching profession and also knowing the vast subject knowledge. Basic Teaching Methodology is available. Black board and chalk. One best part we can find here is the materials. All the subject materials were distributed among students for learning. We had 2 internal examination per Semester. Before the examination staff might guide us for the important lesson to make sure we may not miss the part to study.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships at Bon Secours college means for the projects at final semester. They requested every students to chose their final project title and ask them to look for ideas and tools for the developing after that students look industries and company for working them out. In that company they will understand their pedagogy and implement in project. They will ask for clarification and doubts etc. Each project has minimum of 3 members to enroll with, they will work with each other for the better outcomes. Because if computer applications students we need to create the application with the help of Languages like Asp, html and java , phyton etc. If any bug occurs we are doomed,we created the examination portal which gives the immediate results within 1 hour help of OCR code.
Placement Experience :
At the time of joining of the year 2014, they had some MOU with consultancy services for the placement. We had a Class at introduction like English Grammer and soft skill classes for 3days. After final year Before project. Management get a chance to have one company for Computer science to hire us. That's the first time of this college allows placement. Because only 10 to 15% of the girls family allow them to work and for higher studies. Because if the criteria they don't met any placements Particularly. College having Placement cell which helps all the students to participate know the focus on corporate world. It helps them to Crack their Jobs and presentation skills etc. I assure that upcoming academic years the management will focus on placements for the students bright future.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
A good thing about the college is fees structure. Because the motto of the college is education for all. Demographic variable might shock you. So fees structure for 1 year is around 10 to 11k only. I didn't apt for Scholarships. It's there for students who scored good percentage in 12th, but her family not able to pay the college fees.This college helps them to study for the career. This is why I loved the colleges. They treat everything equally and rightfully.
Campus Life :
We celebrate every month as festival. Initially we celebrate Freshers day with senior and juniors. Techno fest for Computer science students from all colleges at the month of September. Library size is 60*70sqt. College has 11 departments so the size were quite large. We have one session for Library at every week. We used to take story books to study. Sports and Extra Activities: 4- P.ET staffs are there to train the students. Football and Volleyball are Sports. Extra Curricular Activities: They used to conduct the Show called Aadalum Padalum programme to respect for Traditional curriculum like karakattam. Each department has their own groups or club are called as Academic Activities. They conduct Group Discussion and Management related Activities. In odd phase of Every semester students of the college run the programme called " I Can" for the fellow students. They can sell and buy products at their own cost. The profit of the I can goes to education assistance for under privileged students
Admission :
After completing Higher secondary (12th) with a minimum of pass percentage anyone can be applied to the college. Regarding the Admission and fees structure can avail at the colleges after the higher examination results out. In Bon secours college, Admission fees are very minimal and also faculty members for each department will explain the fees structure for the parents and students. There is no Reservation Benefits is applicable. Because this is charitable trust running colleges among in Tamil Nadu. You can find the minimum amount for the entire courses.
