College Review by a student

Dislikes

  • Transportation is one of the thing I disliked about the college.
  • Fees hike is also one the reason I disliked about it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am preparing for the competitive examination so I choose this course as a eligibility degree. Faculty are friendly and well-matured teachers they are experienced to teach all the students. They cleared tet and most of my faculty did PhD and m.phil. They interact with us and interpret their idea and lessons by practical as well as theory. They were two Cia exams and one-semester exam for 6 months in total in a year there were 4 Cia and two Semesters. The level of difficulty is moderate to difficult.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, that feels bad that the fees are hiked nowadays. Students around there are from the poor family. They need education at a low cost to study. I got an Adidravidar scholarship for students from this college

Campus Life :

They conduct both annual and sports meet in a year. The participants belong to different departments and the overall trophies were to be awarded on the respective days. I like to tell that the books in my library are rare and a huge building for the library department. All kinds of books are available there. Classrooms are neat and cleanly maintained. Yes, there were many social groups namely ncc, nss, Exnora and youth against drugs. They maintain by a separate professor to conduct camps and other social activities.

Admission :

Eligibility for my course is more than 60% from the previous studies. Application for my college was both offline and online application forms. The application fees are around 500 for an MBA and 250 for B.A. Yes, there are some scholarships for the students and some of the seats are allocated on a reservation basis for the minority and other communities. Yes, improve the helpdesk to help the students to join the college.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are handled by the Placement team of our college. More than 100 companies visit the campus for placements. Due to the rules of the placement team, the companies that visit the campus cannot be disclosed. The average stipend for summer internships is usually around 70-80k per month and the average package for the final placements is around 17 lakhs. The placements in the college are decent enough.

Placement Experience:

The placement committee organises all placement activities. A lot of opportunities are available. About 120 companies visited for final placements with a similar number of offers being made. The highest package is 25 lakhs. 100% placement has been recorded. Being a premier institute, lots of opportunities after education.

Placement Experience:

For the summer internships, certain big names come after the second month of starting college whereas the majority typically come around the second term which is from October to December. On account of Covid-19, the level of placement has come down drastically with most of the companies being startups. As far as final placements are concerned, there is a lot of scope for finance and moderate expectations for marketing and little to slim for operation roles. The placement percentage always becomes 95 or 100% either by forcefully putting students in irrelevant job roles or making them withdraw from the process.

Remarks:

The only problem in this college is the infrastructure. Most of the buildings are very old and especially our department building is quite old and prone to leakage during rain. Other than that the college is quite good and well equipped with a big library and wifi facilities are also provided.

Remarks:

As earlier said they need to focus on knowledge as well apart from results, at the end it's students life and career which need to quality. And also they should bring lots of companies so that there students can get settled.

Remarks:

Overall the College is a good college. But there are too many levels of hierarchy. We never really know who is the main head of the institution because there are so many people like Principal, Chairman, Director, Coordinator etc. The university the college is affiliated under is not good. Anna University is keen on looting student's money.
