Course Curriculum Overview :

This course is a tailor-made course for students who want to have a future in the judicial services of the nation. The exposure to the corporate world of law is thus not appreciated more than the requisite requirements for judicial services. The faculty of the institute is well-qualified and student-friendly. Research mindset in educational courses is thus appreciated and highly encouraged. The examinations conducted are entirely application based and difficult to pass which encourages students to challenge their learning process.

Placement Experience :

The placements are provided by the university based on merit to the students of the undergraduate honours batch and bba batch. The same facility is not available for the adjudication and justice batch for obvious reasons. However, the university facilitates them by supporting internships of judicial nature and other internships too.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fee for the third year currently is INR 2,64,000. There are various state scholarship schemes based on one's category, domicile, etc. that can be availed by the students. Another general merit and need-based scholarship worth INR 50,000 is also available across the batches.

Campus Life :

Life at MNLU campus is very good with great and sustainable infrastructure, the campus hosts students from all 5 years of undergraduate, LLM and PhD. The campus has a beautiful infrastructure with a very facilitative library that encourages holistic learning, big, spacious classrooms and conference halls with various facilities such as smart podiums, boards and air conditioners. The campus also has a canteen and various leisure places for students to relax and feel the beauty of the nature around such as a lake and beautiful greenery. The university also hosts various fests such as Lawkriti (annual fest), Sarambh (sports fest), sports and various other activities such as sanskarotsav, moot courts, debates, ADR competitions, etc.

Admission :

Admission into the adjudication and justice course can be taken by filling in for the course separately on the website of MNLU Nagpur. The selection is a four-step process. The first step is where candidates are selected based on their CLAT ranks. The candidates who qualify have to appear for a group discussion, followed by a psychometric test which is then followed by a personal interview with sitting High Court judges and other dignitaries of the legal fraternity such as senior advocates etc. Once a candidate clears all four levels then she/he can take admission based on the merit list released.

Interview Experience :

The topics for Group Discussions are usually related to contemporary current affairs and ongoing subjects of critical importance. However, the topics do not need any excessively detailed knowledge but only cater to the basic analytical skills and knowledge developed during CLAT preparation. The process aims to analyze the developed and internal skill set of the student through various examinations such as group discussion, psychometric tests and personal interviews. The personal interview puts forward very basic questions in front of the candidate to help analyze his/her personality and qualification for the course.

Placement Experience:

Placements of the college are okay. Not very high and not very low, it is at a good point which can be improved and be higher. From 3rd year the college provides for internship opportunities in many big law firms. The avg package may be around 6-8 lakhs and the highest may be around 15-17 lakhs but it fluctuates every year. Companies like ELP, SAM, trilegal, Cyril amarchand mangaldas,AZB patners, etc have offered packages to many students. There is no exact data available for exact % of students placed or offered made. I plan to go in litigation after my degree.

Placement Experience:

The college is known for campus placements in every sector especially corporate and practices at the Hon'ble High Courts and the apex Supreme Court of India. Many also opt for going into the judiciary and become High Courts and Supreme Judges. Many legal luminaries and stalwarts including former Chief Justice of India Y.V. Chandrachud and late Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh are an alumnus of the college. The companies usually come for recruitment in the final year of the course i.e, the 3rd year or the sixth semester to be eligible for placements. The college also provides pre-placement training. Law students are not recruited to placements, they enhance their skills participating in national and international moot courts, arbitration and mediation competitions across the globe. Various law firms which visit are Khaitan and Co., Mindtree, Mulla and Craig and many other reputed organizations. The highest placement is around 13 LPA. 70% placements.
