Remarks :

Overall its a dream college which a student aspires for after his pain staking efforts of 2 years !! Also, Campus is very beautiful in infrastructure and deign.Even better then IIT-D xD.Its one of the happening college in Delhi.There are many events on daily basis.Our annual cultural fest ENGIFEST is the biggest fest in North India which is held in February with a footfall of 2 lac.

Entrance Preview :

I gave jee mains in 2016 and got 120 marks.In boards I got 94.8% and my rank was 32883.I applied for JAC Delhi and got admission in Production and Industrial Engineering in DTU in the Spot Round.Spot Round is conducted on the basis of seats left.It was a miracle for me to land up with such rank in this prestigious college.There was no interview process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My branch is Production and Industrial Engineering.Its only in a few colleges in India.Its a descent course.To excelin it you should have knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.KDOM Labs, Metallurgy lab, Power Plant Lab provide enough practical knowledge.We have to do 2 projects and a training in 6th semester.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes college provides an internship in 6th Semester.

Placement Experience :

There is a 100% placement every year.You can go either in technical line or non tech line.In tech you can go in Bharath heavy electrical limited, Oil and natural gas corporation limited, Indian oil corporation limited Steel authority of India limited Hindustan petroleum limited (by PSU and Private).In non tech you can go for McKinsey.

College Events :

There are tech fests,Literary Fest,Cultural fest and Sports fest.Our cultural fest ENGIFEST is held in February every year and is one of the biggest fest in North India with a footfall of more than 1 lac.I was in publicity team and we did a great job by pasting posters in different colleges of Delhi University and Amity,Galgotias etc. in Noida.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees for first year was 126000, for second year 137000 and will be increasing in third and fourth year.Yes, its quite high to afford :)

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, college provides a scholarship to students on the basis of family income.I had not applied in first year.

Campus Life :

It is one of the Happening colleges of Delhi.There are many events on daily basis.So you get a bunch of extra co-curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel life in DTU is fantastic.There are 8 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel.Rooms are in sharing of 3 peeps in first and second year whereas single rooms are provided in 3rd and 4th year.Now college has another hostel/pg type facility outside the campus also.Hostel fees is literally very low.Such cheap hostels might be anywhere.Fees is 18500.Mess food in morning is very good and quality decreases till dinner xD

Exam Structure :

Exams and labs are Chill.You sit in a very good and spacious examination hall on comfortable seats and it is fully air conditioned.Labs have all type of machines and instruments.

Faculty :

Frankly speaking some of the teacher are very good and explains every concept in detail but many teachers are just completing the course and students have to study themselves from other sources to pass in exam.

Good for money not for life

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. In 2024 the highest package till now is 88L per annum and the median package is around 18L per annum.. On campus are good and also off campus placements are also focused. Which is good point!

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible from 6th semester for pre-placements offer. Some of the top recruiters were Microsoft, HCL technologies, Accenture, Jaguar Land Rover India Limited, McKinsey & Company, Rakuten Mobile, etc. Around 1300 offers were made and 260 PPOs and 30 international offers in 2023 batch. The highest package in 2023 was 2.5 Cr per annum. The average package was around 20 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements was around 89% in 2023. My plans are either getting a placement or continue further studies in mechanical department.

The name of some companies came for the placement Microsoft ,Jaguar Land Rover India Limited , Rakuten Mobiles , Accenture etc. Around 1300 offers were made and 260 PPO's and 30 international offers in 2023 batch . The highest package in 2023 was 2.5 cr per annum . The average package was around 20 LPA . The percentage of students getting placed was around 89 percentage in 2023. My Plans are either getting a placement or going for the civil services

Unfiltered Truth

Placement Experience:

For 4yr courses like btech students of 7th semester become eligible for campus placements. Tcs, ambuja, mahindra tech and etc.. Companies visited and they made decent number of offers. Highest package is 25 lakhs which offered by amazon. Lowest package is 1.70 lakhs offered by tcs. Percentage of students getting placements is 30%. I wanna join indian army so I will appear for defense exams after the degree

IIT-D review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I am interested in mechanicals. There are few courses in which more than one branch studies so more number of students otherwise 70-80 students per faculty. Faculties are well qualified done masters from foreign universities. Some faculties use slides others use chalk and board. There are minors(mid-sem) and majors(end-sem). Other than that there are quizzes ~4 per semester per course.
