Remarks :

Pros: Nice culture, Good quality education, Endless access to library and other reference materials. Good facilities Cons: Placements, Fees.

Entrance Preview :

XAT & CAT. I had scored 79%le in XAT and 87%le in CAT and I felt the college to be reputed as I stayed very near to a group of SDM institutions. Also of the options I had this was the best in class i.e Christ, XIME Bangalore, NMIMS Blore.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had selected Marketing and Operations. Everybody selects marketing here because it is a safer bet from placements perspective. Marketing curriculum was vast but on the operations from I felt they could have included few more subjects and could have given free six sigma certification from a reputed board.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship is of 2 months during the summer and most of the students go for unpaid internship but still 10 to 20% get paid internship, I had got 3 offers for internship but selected the one that was paid (10k per month). Which was very meager but still better than nothing. The highest our batch mates got was 35 k/month.

Placement Experience :

Placement is a cake walk if you were previously working for TCS, INF, Capgemini etc. however for a fresher and the one with lower scores the placement is tough. Infy and TCS paid 8.5 and 6 LPA resp, however there were few others which paid around 8LPA but on a average most students got a pay package of 4 to 6 lakhs. The placement season is short hence getting placed early is important also 20-30 % students dont get placed at the end, that's a depressing thing for the students. But the college tries best to place them.

College Events :

The college hosts a lot of conferences and conducts 2 management fests. For the conferences we see participants all over the world. For management fests the students are usually from South Indian colleges. Rest of the events are run by students and there are festivals conducted by students and are funded by them also which was fun. But overall on this parameter there is always something or the other coming up.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

At my time the fees was reasonable but current fee is expensive is what I personally felt considering the placements and the recognition of the college.Even being a good college and providing best education the college fails in promoting itself which affects the placements as the recruiters don't know your college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No scholarships are sponsored. I never came across anybody who did.

Campus Life :

We had people from all the states and the gender ratio was 60:40.The campus life is decent and the college had tight security which didn't allow any illegal activities. Regular raids were conducted to catch smokers and drinkers.I could see a air of equality in the college. There's no gender bias in the college and the support staff is super friendly as well.

Hostel Facilities :

Excellent! The rooms are individual and everybody gets privacy also they provide you with a bed, table, chair, cupboard, shoe rack, branded mattress and pillows. Hostels are cleaned once in a week and are well maintained. The food quality is awesome for the price and never have I ever faced problems with hygiene. The taste also is excellent, reason why I had problems with reducing weight ha ha. Also the gymnasium is top notch.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network needs to improve a lot, this is where the college loses few points, of the alumni network was strong the placements would have been better but that's not the case and the college can work on it.

Exam Structure :

Exams are scheduled once in 45 days, each term is divided with 2 exams mid term and end term and there are 3 terms in a year. I didn't feel exams to be hectic but if you don't like studying and prepare only on the last day you are in for a trouble. But the grades differ by a mark so need to be competitive.

Admission :

I had to present my CAT scores after which they called for the interview. I wrote a written assessment test and had a PI round with 2 faculty members. Slowly one after the other they started publishing the results and I got shortlisted and got the selection letter from the college which also mentioned about the joining formalities and the fee structure bank details etc.

Faculty :

Faculty was good when I was learning in the college however the same old faculty is almost 60% replaced with new faculty who are not that great but its still better as what I heard from my juniors. Faculty during my time were legendary however they wanted to retire hence the college is not really at fault here.

Just after the 2nd semester the placements start. Companies like Deloitte,PWC,EY,KPMG,Broadride,Storeking, trivago,My Captain,Indusland Bank, HDFC bank,Factset, Genpact,Cadbury,Manipal Hospitals and many more companies come for placement. The highest package in my opinion may be around 8.4 lpa and average would be around 5 lpa. The profile offered were mostly Finance analyst, Tax Consultant and marketing. Idk the exact percentage but mostly everyone gets a placement. I would join Deloitte after I receive my offer letter.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum from the university is transferred by the teachers in a digestive manner with all relevant example , live scenarios, case study activities and much more. The exams on average come after 3 months of a semester commencing , the difficulty towards the exam itself is moderate.

Placement Experience:

Placement Cell is very hardworking and they do provide placement support for all specializations but most of the jobs that are offered are marketing or customer support roles so it's always encouraged to look for job opportunities through other sources as well.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are excellent in Indus Business Academy. Alot of good companies come to the college for the placement and almost all the student get placed in a good company. iIf the student has payed attention in the classes and the tasks assigned then getting into a company is not difficult. The students start getting placed soon after the completion of first year. Compainies like Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, Colgate, Bata , GT and other good companies come to the college every year for the placements every year. The average package offered by the companies is 6.5 CGPA and it may increase this year. The student placement is 100%. I have also been selected in Deloitte for tax profile.
