Entrance Preview :
For admission in SVNIT, one need to qualify JEE MAINS . I scored 164 in year 2015. I decided in 11 standard to be in NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our course is decided by MHRD for B.tech degree. Our Course is well assembled for great learning through practicals. most subjects are related to other subjects of other semesters. Some subjects go further in more deep so great chance to research on such topic.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes in our college students get good internships. Companies come every year for internships are Microsoft, Infosys, Lnt, Reliance, snap-deal, Amazon, Sun-pharma, Bazaz and many more. stipend varies company to company. Range is 15000 to 45000 per month + additional perks.
Placement Experience :
Our college is getting very much opportunity of on campus Job offers. in year 2016 140 students out of 200 are placed in mechanical branch. our college's average package is near about 6 lakhs per anum. College Events :
Our college's Technical hobby group DRISHTI conducts many technical events. we have biggest fest in Gujarat named sparsh( is cultural and technical fest having 5 night celebrations including celebrate night). other lots of cultural, management festivals were held in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
First Year FEE:1st semester:- 80500 fees of 2nd,4th,6th,8th semester is 62500 fees of 3rd ,5th, 7th is 65500. Important: If your family income is less than 1 lakh per anum than you get full remission of fees. and if income is 1 lakh to 5 lakh shall get 2/3 fee remission of total tuition fees .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
National Scholarship portal(NSP) is good scholar ship for NITs and IITs, rather than that our college have fee wavier scheme if your family income is very less. and many other institutes are giving scholarship which is noticed on time. Loan procedure for SVNIT is so easy. SBI is giving up to 5lakhs educational loan to the students for studies and laptop.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio is near about 5 boys and 2 girl due to Engineering course. My college have 2 badminton courts, 2 tennis courts, one big play ground. cultural fest organized by CHRD and technical things by DRISHTI. We have two robotics lab for students of drishti. One is in hostels and one in near gate of college.Every year our college participate in many competitions like ROBOCON (ABU Organize every year hosted by different countries of Asia every year).
Hostel Facilities :
1st year and 2nd year have to share the rooms with one partner.After second year we got single rooms allotted. Rent of hostel is 17000 per year for double seated rooms and 20000 per year for single seated rooms, with extra 14000 per semester mess food bill. Food quality in mess is average.
Alumni/Alumna :
We have very big alumni cell. Most seniors are very help full especially of team drishti. I contacted drishti seniors and they are very humble ,they help whatever they can do.
Exam Structure :
Svnit have semester method for examination. Each semester consist of Mid -semester examination and end-semester examination and internal exams (viva,Quizs,tutorial test etc.).Through my experience it was hectic little on exam times only, rest of time it was chilled out due to regular preparations.
Admission :
I repeat, for admission in SVNIT, one need to qualify JEE MAINS.i have scored 164 marks equivalent to 10667 All India Rank(AIR). Than few days later of result date online portal opens for all NITs,IITs and IIIts named JOSSA. . Where i registered my self through JEE Mains exam no.Than you have to feel out priority based choice of courses. Jossa put timetable online. I got admission in mechanical engineering in 2nd round of allotment .and than i paid fees.and my seat confirmed.
Faculty :
Most of the faculties are having good experienced in teaching. Some faculties are not be with current techs but rest are very supportive for extracurricular activities where student can learn practical knowledge of studies and be with current Techs.Most faculties have their Phd degrees.we also have faculties with post Doctoral degree.
