Entrance Preview :
DU LLB entrance exam, this is the best and most reputed law college of India and i ranked under 1000 in the entrance exam. Only entrance based admissions and eligibility criteria is above 50% in qualifying exam i.e. Graduation.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course is diversified in whole area of the law and they promote research over any topic related to law. They provide case material of own with selected leading cases of honorable supreme court of India. Overall course gives us a whole idea of law and encourage us for the better future.
Internships Opportunities :
No, but college name helps us in getting internship under any lawyer/firm or any organisation easily. College name matters because everyone knows about the education quality of Delhi University.
Placement Experience :
Placements are not good but i can say job opportunities are good as i mention above in internship column, on the name of college it is easy to get internship and job if you have scored well in your academics. Faculty is also working over creating Placement Cell.
College Events :
They organize lots of seminar over different issues related to law viz. Around 2-3 seminars in each month. Legal aid society organised many legal visits. One freshers party, one Fest and one farewell organised by student union over the year that makes a college interesting and co curricular.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee is very feasible for a student which costs around 6-7 thousand a year and that makes 22-23 thousand for total course. As it us central university so, fees is highly subsidized and a student can afford study easily here. Many facilities provided to students despite of low fees.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarship for minorities is available and loan facility is not needed as fees is not that high, for one can't afford. But still scholarship is a good option for people who are in minorities and needy.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio is good, it might be 60:40 or 50:50 among boys and girls respectively. Workshop conducted by college societies are impeccable and good in numbers. Three societies work good here viz. Legal aid society, moot court society and debating society.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are good with mess food but the problem is, college strength is higher and hostel rooms are very less and accommodation for a needy person get hard. But overall facilities are really good. Mess food is hygienic and affordable too.
Alumni/Alumna :
They all are helpful, seniors provided us notes and full guidance when we were in first year and still they are in touch and guiding us throughout the course. Alumnus are also cooperative as they come for seminars for encouragement of students and provide us a needful guidance.
Exam Structure :
6 semesters distributed among 3 years. Exams come with a good break and after a good span of time as one can prepare well for them, there is no burden of tests, labs, practicals etc. Over the students. Exam conduction is very well versed and prepared by faculty.
Admission :
I went through and entrance exam and passed it. They require at least 50% for General and 45% for Ob c category in the qualifying exam i.e. Graduation or post graduation. 2300 seats are allocated and among three centers and law center 2 is of morning batch viz. 8 am to 1:30 pm
Faculty :
Our college has 2 types of faculty viz. One is permanent and other is Ad-hoc. As there are around 600 students in a single year in the law center so, it is hard to have whole permanent faculty. I can say permanent faculty is better than and has experience of over 15-20 years and gives us a idea of having best faculty of course country. Ad-hoc faculty is also good but still permanent has its own class.
