The thing that I liked the most about my college is that it provides a diverse crowd.
The college canteen offers some amazing snacks to grab.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because the curriculum of the course was suitable for me because I was planning to prepare for government services. The faculty-student ratio is 1:60. The faculties are highly qualified, most of them had their PhD and their teaching method is practical and adequate. The exams were organized two times per semester and you can pass these exams easily.

Class Size : 150Course Fees : INR 10000 per year

Placement Experience :

From the 5th semester onwards you become eligible for campus placement. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Byjus, etc. visit the campus. The highest package was of 12LPA and the average package was 3.6LPA. Most of the jobs were offered for sales roles. About 40% of students get placement from the campus. I am planning to my higher education after the degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is very nominal compared to other colleges. It costs around 7000/semester. There are scholarship available for those who can't afford it. There is no such facility of job with a stipend within the campus.

Campus Life :

An annual fest named "PHOENIX" is organized every year which is quite happening and fun for the students. The college has one of the biggest libraries in the university with all sorts of books and journals. The classroom infrastructure is quite basic and old with regular benches and fans (Not AC). The college doesn't provide too many sports facilities but it has a ground.

Admission :

The admission was according to the guidelines of Delhi University and it was merit(marks in class 12th) based. The eligibility of the course was class 12th passed. The application form can be found on the DU website. The college follows basic reservation policy of central government for admission. I want the admission procedure to be changed from merit based to entrance based.

Maitreyi College is Underrated, A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

Coming to english hons I had a little different expectations and this turned out to be a little different, This course is too much till where I have studied is inclined towards literature which sometimes students do not like. There are many subjects inside the core, but subjects like literary studies caught lot of attention due to it's attractiveness and different perspectives. Sometimes things go a lot off syllabus which disrupts mindful learning but thankgod it's just 30-40% of it.

The course curriculum is not updated . Teachers uses old method of teaching on pen and paper. Like in statistics now various tools are available in market and instead of making us learn those tools teachers are teaching the most basic things on pen and paper.But the course is very demanding nowadays.

Good and bad's of my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is basically design to study economics in a depth so that the understanding of student related to world economic, how economics work , how it affect an individual etc increase and he can work more efficiently to give theories and work in the companies related to economics. The curriculum includes value added course and skill enhanced courses that help us to learn different types of skills that are required in the real world applications. Improvement in these can be done by asking the student to apply all these into real life and connect students with the real life approaches related to the course. For core subjects the timing of paper is 3 hours and for sec and vac courses the timing of paper is 1 hour.

Life as a student in DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) i had interest in history from my class 11th. I wanted to further increase my knowledge ane thus accepted my course 2) the course not only prepares u to give exams but actualy leads u to study many papers, books that expands your understanding of the course and also real life challneges where u have to apply it. It also prepares you for further academic pursuits 3) they can opt for more practical learning apart from classroom learning, they can make field trips and let student know about research also 4) the end exams start after 4-5 months of sem start. U are given well enough time to prepare gradually. The assignments, test can make it hectic but if u complete the given work in time, u can prepare well enough for the exams and do well.
