Remarks :
it is very easy to say 'best in central India' but actually no one knows that there is a college named SIRT. so rather than making money by taking low grade students and faculties take good one. stop opening number of colleges. just focus on one.
Entrance Preview :
In MP-PET I got 12500 rank. I filled it as 3rd option. Seniors told me about the ME branch is good here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
bad, because course is very old. the industry wants ready-made engineers but since it is BE you have to do lots of hard work to get the practical knowledge. there is no well equipped lab for any subject. how will you able to feel what actually is going on?
Internships Opportunities :
i don't know about that. since i never heard about it in the college. maybe they provide it to the higher course students but not to us.
Placement Experience :
very bad. no MNC. small companies which take lots of time to conduct only interview. mainly trading companies and BPO used to come there. very easily they get students. because there is no other option. list of compaines shows atleast 10 MNCs that visit each year but only to show.
College Events :
only one boring event took place once in the year that's also not regular. my seniors tried to make a group so that we can have some extra activity but they said 'no'. we have to go to other colleges to participate in events. only in pictures we have seen cultural programs not in reality.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
since it is a state university so the fee was feasible. but the transportation charges were unnecessary. because we live near the college but they said that if you pay whole year fee at one time then only bus charges will be signed off. some one has 60000 fee per year but they demand it on one single day. although they had a policy that you can pay it semester wise.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
no, even when state scholarships came in the college account we had a very hard time to get it. they charge some fee to take the loan money. but yes if in case of concession they grant it but special cases only.
Campus Life :
very boring life. good gender ratio but I was in mechanical branch so....no extracurricular activity. old labs which are often under maintenance. we have to initiate on our own for any sports that also held in other colleges. very discouraging for any event.
Hostel Facilities :
hostel was good but the facilities are less. no gym no ground to play outdoor games. not even the indoor games are available. mess food was very bad as compared to home or to other cities like Kota. in starting they provide good food but later they don't.
Alumni/Alumna :
yes they are. but only the recent seniors are helpful because we know only them. when we went to some other cities they helped a lot.
Exam Structure :
liberal and lengthy. each year has it's own schedule. never got the opportunity to go out with the juniors or seniors. they took a whole month to conduct a yearly paper. sometimes dates are very unrealistic. practicals are conducted very comfortably.
Admission :
register on MP online, and fill the preferences as you like. automatically according to the rank you will get the college and branch. then go to the college if you get any. and follow the procedure as directed by the college staffs. never give the original documents.
Faculty :
only a couple of faculties along with the HOD was highly educated. rest of the faculties are only educated upto the Bachelor's degree. that's why they are not comfortable with the doubts. also they are not able to help us in the project which we wanted to do.
