My college experience

Remarks :

It's a very good institution to come to. Will take time to make its name and mark but that day is very soon. And faculty and students are striving hard to achieve it .

Entrance Preview :

NEET. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. Conducted by CBSE previously known as AIPMT. One has to qualify NEET with a good rank I chose this college as it is the only Central Government college has a nice infrastructure and faculty. Plus it is well located and outside the fuss of the city.

Course Curriculum Overview :

MBBS is one of the best course as we all know. It is not only good in aspects of career keeping in mind the current engineering scenario in the country and specially the state. MBBS gives you an opportunity to utilise your hard work and brain and earn lots and also service to the people who need your help. The most satisfactory job there can be . Serving the people and thus service to God.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes there happens to be a compulsory internship as per the guidelines of The Medical council of India. It's a MCI stipulated stipend which varies and increases as per pay scale.

Placement Experience :

This Central Government college is currently providing education to the first batch. This batch has a five year long job assured by the college which the candidate can leave by paying an amount to the corporation. Successive batches have a shorter tenure of service which they have to give to this institution. Payscale is Central Government high pay.

College Events :

The academic year starts with a freshers welcome where both the seniors perform to entertain their juniors as well as the juniors perform to show their talents.there is a gala feast on that occasion. Then there is Saraswati Puja every year in the campus. It is followed by an annual fest called surge. Where famous singers n bands come to perform.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Previous fee of this institution was very less it was only twenty four thousand per year. The admitted batches continue to pay the same amount. But the new batches have to pay a sum of ₹1 lakh per annum. It is very less compared to private medical college but higher than the state run medical college

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No. There is no such facility. The fee structure is currently 1 lakh per annum. Previously it was 24k per annum. But three is no loan facility directly provided. I did not take any.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio is almost 1:1 girls are obviously more studious and hence they come easily to this profession and also do better. This College organises annual fests, magazine, other cultural programme blood donation camp etc. Fresher's welcome with gala feast. Indoor games competition etc.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is just few metres away from the main college building. It is a magnificent and humongous hostel. Each student has their own seperate private room. Where they have a single bed a table a chair. The mess food is quite good and subsidiaries are given.

Alumni/Alumna :

Senior students are very helpful in giving suggestions to helping the junior students with books study materials and like very important suggestions plus previous years question banks. They also guide them for better understanding and practical.

Exam Structure :

The exams are very well and timely conducted by the teacher Question papers are set by the teachers according to the syllabus of the west Bengal University of health sciences. In strict accordance and with their guidelines. The teachers take regular tests and practical to develop the skills of the students which is day by day getting more important.

Admission :

One has to qualify NEET and then has to appear for counseling that is done online. A form has to be filled online and payment done. After which candidate inputs his wishes and counselling is done as per rank and merit basis. After allotment the candidate has to report to the institute with all the relevant documents that are mentioned by the institute on its official website and also photographs.

Faculty :

The college as mentioned earlier is a central government college and so all recruitment is as per guidelines of MCi directly. High standard of faculty. One to one doubt clearance. Exams are taken on a regular basis for the students. Doubt clearing sessions. Viva . Practical. State of the art lab. Proposed centrally air conditioned lab classroom. All teachers of all the department are very cooperative knowledgeable and helpful in understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is a Nobel cause and the curriculum made me see through it. They teach us attitude, etichs and communication which is very important in MBBS. The course can be more effective if it can improve its teaching methods . Exam take place after every 3 month and the difficulty is quite high.

Placement Experience:

In medical College, no such placement occurs, actually after completing 4.5 years of academics we need to work as an intern in our hospital for 1 year i.e "compulsory rotatory internship" where we are paid monthly. Then after graduating you can apply to other hospitals as a doctor.

Remarks:

Only negative thing is infrastructure which is not fully dependant on college. It's mostly affected by govt & it's policies. If our govt opens up for improvement, CNMCH will definitely be one of the finest medical colleges in our country.

Placement Experience:

Well, this question doesn't apply technically, we go for internships in our final year and with the deficit doctors are facing, no one really thinks on placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course makes me a doctor in the future. It's tough, time taking and mind stuffing but it's enjoyable. Practicals is the heart and soul of medicine. From the very beginning they are a major concern. Research opportunities aren't intrinsic, many take the icmr sts with full support from the faculty. Also being part of SAMSA I get to share ideas and take them.
