Remarks :
Only negative thing is infrastructure which is not fully dependant on college. It's mostly affected by govt & it's policies. If our govt opens up for improvement, CNMCH will definitely be one of the finest medical colleges in our country.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course is very robust, exam structure is semester + yearly exam based. There are total 9 semesters in the MBBS curriculum conducted by the institutions themselves. & 4 Professional MBBS exams conducted by WBUHS.
Placement Experience :
MBBS comes with 1 year mandatory & rotatory internship program with a stipend of 22 k (approx) per month for graduate medical professionals passing out from the college itself. After internship the hospital also gives opportunity for 1 year of Housestaffship as A Medical Officer In any of the departments.
College Events :
All the events related to Medical field such as Doctor's Day, Nurses' Day, AIDS day are celebrated. Foundation day, Independence day & republic day are celebrated too. There is a college reunion every year arranged in month of February. Annual cultural fest is also celebrated in a grand manner in the month of September.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Very much feasible. The total expense in one semester comes up to be Rs. 6000 approx. Other expenses like hostel, books, food are there. But overall it's very gettable for a student of middle class family.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College does not provide any scholarship or loan independently. But our govt has many scholarship schemes for minority students. Students can avail for those through proper channel & can get easily through the students section.
Campus Life :
CNMC is all about extracurricular activities. 1. We have our own cultural grand fest - AGON in month of September. 2. There are many indoor and outdoor gaming tournaments throughout the year. 3. Labs are overall average. Cam be improved a lot.
Hostel Facilities :
I haven't because my home was not much far away from the college. But I have heared from my batchmates that hostel room were sufficient, airy, fresh with friendly staffs & a very lively atmosphere. Students can not only study but also have good time.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are not literally senior here. They are very much helpful in all aspects like studies, hostel, books, notes, clinical understanding etc. They prepare us very much for our very much hard exams
Admission :
Through WBJEE (M) 2012, I got admission into MBBS course in this institution. The WBJEE (M) consists of Physics, Chemistry & Biology MCQ exam on the basis of 10+2 (CBSE) Syllabus. Many people take course from Aakash institute,Kolkata for this entrance exam.
Faculty :
Faculties are very helpful & kind as per as teaching is concerned. Non clinical subject teachers emphasize on clinically relevant topics from the subjects. & Clinical teachers spend a lot of time with patients, teaching & demonstrating how to examine a patient & how to treat
