Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose BCA analytics as I was interested to move into the data analytics field. There have been some changes in the course curriculum due to the NEP .so we are given courses based on credits I.e 3 credit course and a 4-credit course. Each semester you will have 3 core subjects of 3 credit courses along with languages and an open elective for the first 3 semesters so in total 6 subjects each semester. The faculty to students rating is kind of balanced but I feel that faculty members are still adapting to changes as per NEP therefore they require more training to teach students and make classes interactive .suddenly teachers will leave the college in middle due to some issues and the majority of the classes are boring. Though all the professors and teachers here have a master's or a Ph.D. qualification they still find it difficult to adapt to new methods of teaching and rely on the same old boring lecture system. As for the teaching methods we don't have any textbooks but rely on online LMS.

Placement Experience :

For the placement, we have a placement cell and a Center for employability and placements providing opportunities and guidance for students to get placed in MNCs and other great companies. From the 5th semester students are told to do internships and start preparing for placements. The college will rush with the portions and finish off semesters very fast as they want to give us enough time for placements preparation towards the end. Various companies like Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte EY, Samsung, etc. Come for placements in our college. As per the companies the highest package so far is 8-10LPA I guess and the average package would be 2-4LPA as a fresher. Around 97-98 percent of students get placed. After this degree, I would be working in a company to get work experience and industry exposure.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee for my course is 75000 rs but each year it keeps increasing for the new admissions .there are various merit, upliftment, government and private scholarships that are available which you can apply to but for the majority of them, you will get amt. Only up to 10000. Considering the fees in other colleges. KJC offers very reasonable Fees. Providing equal opportunity to students of all backgrounds to have a quality education.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure is good, though the campus is not that big it's really beautiful from the inside and has a lot of recreational spaces and green areas where you can hang out with your friends after classes. A lot of fests are conducted every year and it's a great opportunity for ppl to socialize and take part in various events and clubs .for the CS branch we have two major fests called the Synchronize(intra-college IT fest) and Xactitude(inter-college IT fest) and it's really amazing to take part in them .you will have a lot of fun participating in these events. totally the campus is equipped with 3 libraries one in each of the three blocks of our college. Amenities in the classroom are not much just a blackboard and a projector with a white screen for it. But the classrooms are well equipped with furniture for the students. Sports and extracurriculars is a big scams in this college. Only if you are already a state or national-level candidate do you have chance for the college team.

Admission :

Since mine was the covid batch so our interview was taken online there is no entrance test as such and the selection is purely based on merit and interview. The eligibility for BCA was a 12th pass with a minimum of 60%. The complete application process is online. And I think the application fee was some 600 rs .one thing that I dint like while taking admission was that the admission process took too long .and we were waiting for our interview turn for like 4 hours. It could have been a lil bit more organized and done in a quick way by allowing time slots for each candidate rather than putting all of them in zoom meetings and in a waiting room.

Other Applied Colleges

St Joseph's College - [SJC] | Bachelor of Computer Application [BCA] (Data Analytics)

Fees too high and i got selected in KJC before SJC

Placement Experience:

As a former student of this institution, I am compelled to share my disillusioning experience. The college's brochure boasted impressive placement statistics, but the reality was starkly different. Out of 240 students in my batch, a mere 10-15 secured job placements, resulting in an abysmal placement ratio of approximately 4-6. This was a clear indication of the institution's failure to deliver on its promises. The brochure's claims of "excellent placement opportunities" and "top-notch companies" were nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Only one tech company visited our campus, offering a modest package of 3.6 LPA, while the remaining companies were sales-based with negligible packages that hardly justified the effort and investment put into earning a degree.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college is very good. We get offers from companies like DE Shaw, Accenture, etc and the best part we have 100% placement. Students should not have any backlogs and they should have atleast 70% so they will be eligible to sit in the placements. And the process of placements starts from 3rd year i.e.5th sem

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester if they don't have any backlogs in any previous semesters. The companies that visited our campus was IBM, INFOSYS, CAPGEMI, etc.. The highest package offered was 7Lpa to 9LPA, THE average package offered was 3.5 to 5 Lpa and the lowest package offered was 2Lpa . The percentage of students getting placed depends upon the student, if he or she didn't have any backlogs in the previous semesters, but the percentage of the students getting placed was 50 to 60%. My plans after degree was to do work in. Software development firm, but now i am studying my masters from Manipal University of Jaipur.

Presidency college of a report, a placement rate with a majority of students, securing jobs before graduation college placement cell work, actively to connect students with the top employed in IT software data and it takes finance et cetera. Many well-known companies in Tech in finance, including Wipro, TCS, Accenture and cognizant are known to recruit from presidency College of and provide training sessions which include skill development in areas like aptitude, technical knowledge, coding and soft skills which can make a big difference in interviews. While average package from this college would be around 4.5 to 5 lakhs per annum. The students from the 5th semester are eligible for the campus placements. The companies that visit the campus are not so well known and mostly offer 4lpa package. The highest package offered by the companies in this college is 4lpa and the minimum is 2lpa. There is around 60% placement rate of the high scoring students Im planning to do the masters too after this degree.
