Course Curriculum Overview :
I have selected the PGDM program which is the flagship program for the institute and the choice was very obvious the number of students is around 450 including the students for the PGDIE program. We are a class strength of around 70 people and we have around 10 subjects in each module and the Teachers ratio is very optimum because we have more than one teacher teaching for one particular subject depending upon their competencies for a particular course and all the faculties are having prior experience of teaching in top b school s and some of them are like more than 20 years of teaching experience in NITIE. We have 10 subjects in one module so we have several exam assignments that are done at regular intervals. The teaching method of every faculty is very unique and adds something new to the discussion through industrial knowledge and consultancy done for many top organizations.
Internships Opportunities :
I was offered an internship with Reliance industrial limited and the stipend offered was 1.5 lakh per month. The internship is due in April or May for 2 months. I am looking forward to having a very engaging learning experience in RIL.
Placement Experience :
Placement is one of the best things in NITIE because of its industrial presence and a long list of Alumni who passed out over the last 60 years there is 100% placement and the average package is rising every year. The packages were around 55 lacs and the jobs and roles offered by different companies were mostly in operations and supply chain roles. There are other rules offered in the GEN man, marketing and finance.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
NITIE has one of the best ROI in the country for MBA programs. The course fee has increased over the years due to its brand and with the ongoing process of when it is going to turn into an IIM to course fees going to be relatively higher in the future but since it is a Government institution there are several financial aids and scholarship given to meritorious and economically backward students. There is a stipend facility for students coming through gate exams and the ROI of the college is around 200% so it's a very good choice for studying in a B school if you have a keen interest in the supply chain and operations domain.
Campus Life :
There is a large number of club activities that are going around in the institution and there are several annual events like Avartan, Josh, etc. The infrastructure is one of the unique things in NITIE. We have been provided physical books and library access for many international journals the amenities in the classrooms are very adequate. The classrooms are very spacious and have all the latest technological infrastructure facilities.
Hostel Facilities :
NITIE hostel facilities are one of the unique things on the campus we have a 16-floor hostel facility for boys and we have two facilities for girls and other executive students on the campus, we have a twin sharing room and the facilities are very optimal if not premium.
Admission :
NITIE takes admission through both CAT and GATE exams, I applied for NITIE through the CAT exam and it is only eligible for engineers, the application form and application are free and other details are available on the college website. The admission process was very well organized. The admission process for the shortlisting was based on the CAT exam percentile. Once shortlisted from the CAT percentile then there will be an interview process. The interview will be focusing on the kind of knowledge of gained during your B.Tech as well if you have work experience then it will be more focused on work experience and the contribution that you have done in your last organization. As far as the experience of the interview is concerned it was very streamlined and it was one of the best interview processes that I had attended among all the different IIMs and other B schools.
Interview Experience :
There was no group discussion in the admission process for NITIE there were only interviews and the interview primarily focused on my work experience and the nature of the work I was doing. Questions revolve around current affairs as well and there are many HR-related questions and general questions about why MBA and why you want to join NITIE. It was not a stress interview. The panel of interviewees was very comfortable and chill.
