Course Curriculum Overview :

MA Economics in St.Thomas college is great, the syllabus is a little tough but that is enough to clear UGC net. Faculties are highly qualified most of them have a doctoral degree respectively, teaching method is a little spoon-feeding since it is an autonomous college teacher who pays more attention to improving results rather than personal and educational improvement. Semester exams will conduct every six months, and the results will publish soon after.

Placement Experience :

From the second last semester of UG and PG students can attend campus placement calls and interviews, there is a separate club for placements that will make students able to attend the placement calls, the club will help them to achieve their dream through campus placement. So many companies like Wipro, Amazon, Flipkart, federal banks, syndicate banks, etc.. hire students through campus placement. The percentage of campus placement is increasing per year average placement is more than 70%. The average package is more than 10k per month, the maximum package is 1 lakh per month. After getting a degree students can choose either placement or higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

According to other colleges cost to study is very less, and fees can be covered by grants and scholarships, for meritorious students fees will be less than 10k for a semester, and for some self-financed courses, there will be a fee of 30k per semester. For minorities there will be minority scholarships and so many other scholarships are available from the central and state authorities.

Campus Life :

Arts and sports day conduct once every year, and so many other programs like freshers day, food fest, cultural fest, tech fest, etc. conducted by every department. Centralized AC Library is one of the main attractions of the college which contains more than 15k books with lots of magazines, journals, research papers, newspapers, etc. entry to the Library is only done by swiping your identity card, service digital library with free Wi-Fi is also available. St.thomas college is the all-time champion in sports at intercollege competitions, college pays more attention to sports and extracurricular activities to develop the talents of all the students and running so many clubs to encourage students. The college has its radio station run by students.

Hostel Facilities :

For boys students there is a college hostel with 5k fees per month, the rooms are clean maximum capacity of one room is 2 persons, and single rooms are also available. The hostel mess provides simple and nutritious food. For girls, a college hostel is not available, but lots of PGs and other private hostels are available near the college with good food and good accommodation facilities at affordable prices.

Admission :

For pg courses, eligibility is at least 45% marks in the respective degree. Admission is conducted through the official website of St.thomas College, Thrissur, at the end of June or July application fees will be less than 500 Rupees which is not candidates who applying to this college should also apply for the centralized admission process conducted by the university of Calicut since it is affiliated to the university of Calicut. There will be 15% reserved seats for ST, SC&PWD candidates and for those, there will be a reduction in fees.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well constructed and organised which is very helpful for the preparation of many competitive examinations. The exams are difficult and also delayed, results aren't announced in time. Teaching methods are good and are applicable in the real world

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus they provide are above average. But the implementation in terms of time provided to cover the syllabus is also average. Exams come in a rush and the time allowed is less when compared to the vast syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature is something I loved since schooling. I remember going to school library and reading a lot of Shakespeare's novels and other books. I always admired world of Shakespeare. My interest in books and literature made me choose English literature. When I was searching for a good college, a lot of people suggested Nehru College which had the best faculties of English. College was a bit far from home but I decided to give it a try which was worth it. I had the best experience in nehru. The curriculum evaluation makes sure that all the objectives required for a student is fulfilled. They make sure that the students are getting the best possible way of learning. Also they give us insights about the further studies. Along with academics, the faculties make sure that they prepare us for various competitive exams like UGC NET. The only area where the literature students face stress is exams. The paper is very lengthy that students find it difficult to complete the exam on time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Good faculty and availability of museum and library, more than academics the college and course provides extra benefits such as communication skills, personal development etc.. Teaching method is still the old school method were teachers spoon feeds the students it must be limited and self teaching methods should be encouraged more, there the sem exams will be 2:30 hrs and those are more subjective and extra papers included languages like Hindi , Malayalam,Tamil, English.(it's according to institutions)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although this course was taken with great interest, the need for improvement was realized during the course. There was no continuation of what was studied in each semester. The curriculum should be improved and an updated syllabus should be included. Exams are conducted at regular intervals. There is a growing need to improve the teachers because being a government college it seems that in many cases the teachers are not doing their job and the class is progressing only through seminars and presentations. At the same time, it has been possible to get to know the scholars and gain a lot of knowledge through some of their classes
