Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I have an interest in the field of programming and I want to be a software engineer. Estimated faculty: student will be 1:15. All faculty and teachers are well qualified for their respective subjects. Their method of teaching is quite supportive and they try to focus on as many students as possible. Exams occur on time. A schedule is provided at the start of the semester, in most cases, they took the exams according to the planned schedule.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Currently, no company provides internships. Most students got internships off campus. I got the internship through Internshala which was a remote opportunity. The profile offered was Web Development Intern. I worked on desktop-based applications and web applications with MERN stack technology.

Placement Experience :

Student from the 7th and 8th semesters are eligible for placements drives. This year around 15+ companies from Chandigarh and Mohali locations came to the college for placements. The highest package offered till now is 7 LPA. The average package is 4 LPA. Profile offers are generally Associated with software developers. Around 40% of students have offers in their hands. My plans after college are to work at product-based companies and then go for M Tech in the required field at that time.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is very reasonable in comparison to other colleges and universities. They provide great value than fees charged by the student. Some students can opt for scholarships. Many students have scholarships and college also helps in getting a scholarship.

Campus Life :

Many fests are organized every year. There is no specific month. The library has an ample amount of books which can be sufficient for students who want to study. Sports days are also organized in which many sports are included for boys and girls. Cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, etc. are included.

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms are provided with beds, study tables, a cooler, an almirah, and a balcony. Generally, three-seater rooms are available. The meal quality and the menu were above average. The registration process is quite easy, hostels are highly affordable for students.

Hostel Fee : INR 82000 per year

Admission :

I took admission on a merit base. The admission process was totally in the office. Currently, I do not think there is anything my college lacks in terms of the admission process. I do not have any reservation benefits.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for internship had placements. The companies which generally comes for placements are google, wipro, deloitte, Microsoft, HCL, TCS, LnT, Cisco, Infosys etc are some of the highest recruters in chitkara university.
