My Take on the AAM Experience!

Remarks :

The admission process was quite simple. We had a meeting with our academic head and he gave thorough counseling about the institution and the course. The offers and uniqueness of the school are what convinced me to join here.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course focuses more on teaching their students practical knowledge other than the usual bookish learning. The Faculty brought in for each of the core subjects or the PGDM courses are experienced people currently working in their respective industries. This keeps sessions interactive and contemporary.

Internships Opportunities :

I can't say much regarding the internships because I am still in my second semester. The previous batch of students has been placed in companies like Sharekhan, Dinamalar, etc in positions related to their domain of choice. The people who are sent as interns if proven to be a valuable asset to the company are given a job position in the same company.

Placement Experience :

Placements of students at the beginning of the 3rd Semester. We are sent out for paid internships to companies. AAM has promised stipends of of up to 30,000. They also have an offer called pay after placement. Where you pay your remaining fee only after u get placed by AAM.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee for this course is around 4 - 4.5 lakhs. Depending upon the time of admission the fee may have a slight variation. As I haven't availed of any scholarship with this course I don'thave any idea regarding the same. During the second year, we have been promised paid internships.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure inside AAM is sufficient and sound. They have 3 classrooms with Projectors installed. A functional library, and enough place for the students to sit around and socialize. Also well maintained restrooms. There are a lot of places near and affordable the college to have lunch or snacks. We have club activities that bring out team bonding among students.

Interview Experience :

No, here they did not conduct any type of GD. We just had a chat with the academic head regarding admission. He gave us counseling and we decided on joining here. The basic eligibility criteria for joining AAM is having a UG degree.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are handled by the Placement team of our college. More than 100 companies visit the campus for placements. Due to the rules of the placement team, the companies that visit the campus cannot be disclosed. The average stipend for summer internships is usually around 70-80k per month and the average package for the final placements is around 17 lakhs. The placements in the college are decent enough.

Placement Experience:

The placement committee organises all placement activities. A lot of opportunities are available. About 120 companies visited for final placements with a similar number of offers being made. The highest package is 25 lakhs. 100% placement has been recorded. Being a premier institute, lots of opportunities after education.

Placement Experience:

For the summer internships, certain big names come after the second month of starting college whereas the majority typically come around the second term which is from October to December. On account of Covid-19, the level of placement has come down drastically with most of the companies being startups. As far as final placements are concerned, there is a lot of scope for finance and moderate expectations for marketing and little to slim for operation roles. The placement percentage always becomes 95 or 100% either by forcefully putting students in irrelevant job roles or making them withdraw from the process.

Remarks:

The only problem in this college is the infrastructure. Most of the buildings are very old and especially our department building is quite old and prone to leakage during rain. Other than that the college is quite good and well equipped with a big library and wifi facilities are also provided.

Remarks:

Overall the College is a good college. But there are too many levels of hierarchy. We never really know who is the main head of the institution because there are so many people like Principal, Chairman, Director, Coordinator etc. The university the college is affiliated under is not good. Anna University is keen on looting student's money.
