Remarks :

Got 76% marks in my secondary and 75.8% marks in higher secondary.I had GMR-1497 and OBC -89 rank in wbjee.I got admission in mechanical engineering department in jadavpur university by counseling of wbjee.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The professors of our department teach very well.There are total 160 students in our department and there are two sections A and B. In our department there are two class tests before the semester and then our semester.

Class Size : 560Course Fees : INR 2750 per year

Placement Experience :

Many companies come to our university and offer jobs. During the placement, our professors prepare very well and get the job easily.In our University, the highest package is 1.83 crore rupees and the lowest package is 6 lakh rupees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I got SVMCM scholarship. My University charges Rs 2750 per year. This amount of fees is also refunded to me by the University.Also our HOD gives me a schoorship. University helps a lot for my family condition is not good at all.

Campus Life :

Many programs are held in our University every year and I attend them. Our seniors are very good and help us all the time. I love to play football and win in that game. All in all it can be said that my university is very good.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
