Remarks

I got admission itno Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar college delhi which is an off campus college od Delhi University. In BRAC the subject i got according to my cuet scores was B.A. (hons.) Buisness Economics. This is quite a new and industry oriented course offered in only 10 colleges of du. This course mainly focuses on the business side of economics and make you a professional in handling buisness development. The main eligibility criteria for this course in CUET is- 1 language + Maths+ General Knowledge I got 520/700 in cuet and this course was my 11th preference in prefersnce sheet of CSAS portal. I also got benefitted from my EWS quota and you can get this college and even better college through quota.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose this course because my first preference was general economics but as iIdidn't got it i settled for buisness economics as both of them are related but later I realised that it is a very good market and indutry oriented course. Our college have some of the very knowledgeable and subject proficient teachers They are good, friendly and know there subject very well. Manly the student:teacher ratio is 50:4.

Internships Opportunities

3

I have got an offer from a plants and nursery oriented company based in NCR and it was paying me 20000/ month for 5 days a week work. And the work was to contact local plant sellers and local nursey and help them to sell there products fast and to variety of customers through the company site. It was a good offer but only issue i had was attendance so i rejected it

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements are good for buisness economics, general economic and commerce department and there are various local and international companies who hires students. Also there are a lot of internship offers starting from 3rd semester for both local and national buisness chains And the salary are a good amount. Many students after completing graduation got offers from foreign universities for masters and phd. And there is a huge alumni network in research field.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost of BBE is 26750 rs in total and there is no hidden charges or any extra fees. The charges are maintained by du so there is no chance of cheating or fees hike and i personally think that it is very very affordable price range and most can pay 26750/year and those who can't there are many fee waiver scheme by Delhi University Welfare Society which works under du. You can even get internship from 3rd semester of your college and there are many active cells in college working on them.

Campus Life

4

Our campus is ranked 8th in whole du infrastructure wise. We have two blocks 1. Administrative block 2.study block and we have 1 centre garden and one big ground for sports. There are ground for volleyball basketball football cricket badminton baseball etc.. And the student body of college is very active in clubs and activities. We have one of the most disciplined and well maintained NCC. We have NSS on national level We have ENACTUS- A entrepreneur cell Ecell- again deal with buiness and start ups Rudra- a good dance society performs shows all over india Swaragini- A leading musical society they too perform all over india. Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
