Remarks :

Most of the admission procedure was done online mode with the help of admission department coordinators. The payment and other things were done online because of COVID-19 but still, my admission was done smoothly.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is almost the same as other colleges. The faculty is helpful and the departments are strict but still during the time when 1st year new students join the timetable and classes go missing as faculty get busy with other work the girl and boy ratio is so much to be discussed as in the engineering department there is a very countable number of students where in other departments like BBA and Nursing and another medical department the ratio of girl is much much higher than the boys. "The university has opted for computer-based examination where all the semester exams are conducted in CBT form".

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college has top-notch facilities on scholarships and financial assistance as students get free seats if they are from BPL I have confirmed it by myself. Few students who score good get scholarships and some other relaxation in their fees. Though compared to other departments engineering department has much lower fees than the other available courses.

Campus Life :

The college conducts an ADTU fest named Attitude. there are a lot of clubs for the students to join. Like dance, drama, sports, music and many more and I am a part of a few of these clubs. The college has a pretty good green environment which literally gets our mood freshened up due to the hectic schedule of the day. The college has a gym, swimming pool, yoga room, and a good badminton court though the sports field is worse compared to other colleges.

Hostel Facilities :

Well doesn't matter if u live in a PG or a hostel the avg amount for both of them is 80000. The food is average the hostel room consists of a bed table and a chair with a wardrobe. The same goes with the PG but here u don't get any wardrobe the rental service is way worse than u think cause there r very less rented rooms available with too many prices. The registration process for the hostel is simple and can be done online and offline mode from the admission department.

Btech is the best course for engineer's. The curriculum prepares us well for real world applications or further academic pursuits. Cse branch is the best branch for improvement in the course . The frequency and timing of exams are 3 hours in end term exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have choose EE because it's have both core and it features so i believe that I will go for core but if the situation changes then accordingly i will shift. The curriculum is pretty good in this campus according to me that's why I have choose this course. I don't think I have enough thinking level to suggest about that. Before exam there should be some gap for studies purpose I mean to say classes should be off. And everything is good.

A Honest Review on NIT Silchar.

Placement Experience:

The placement in NIT Silchar is decent. You will be eligible for placement from the 4th year but you will be associated with the T&P cell from the 3rd year. The companies which came for placements in 2022 are Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Electronics Limited, Amazon Web Services, Vedanta Resources Limited, Make My Trip, etc. The highest package is 44 LPA in 2022 offered by Amazon Web Services and the average package is 15-16 LPA. Almost 95% of students get placed in CSE & and 90% in ECE, followed by EIE whereas in other branches the percentage is low. After getting the degree, I will be seating for placements and getting a Job Of course.

Placement Experience:

Placement drives are held in December of every year for the students who complete their 7th semester. Placements are quite good over here, The highest package this year is 2.4 crore and the average package fluctuates between 20 to 25 LPA every year. One can also go for higher studies, there is no harm.

Don't worry about placements, they are quite good. Our campus highest package this year is 2.5 cr/annum There are many other stats on our official website, you can refer to that. Mostly many people get interns in their 5th or 6th sem and get placed at the end of the 7th sem. I will talk more about this after going the second year atleast
