Darshan University Rajkot, B.Tech, Civil Engineering

Reviewed on Aug 31, 2022(Enrolled 2018)

Remarks

The admission process is based on the rank on JEE exam and the 12th result. Those of you who get above the specific market will be eligible for the course. You can find the application form from the college. No, I don't think that there is any need for improvement in the admission process but they can reduce the tuition fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose civil engineering because I like to do work in the field. Most of the faculty are already qualified and also they have too much practical knowledge. There was an exam called the midterm exam. And it is around 3 months. It is difficult to pass.

Class Size: 57Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

L&T construction and HEAVEN group is the company in which you get placed most of the time. You can get projects related to Soil, Transportation, and other areas also. You get the opportunity to get experience under RMC.

Placement Experience

In civil engineering, the students can become eligible after the 6th semester if they have enough experience. Most of the time L&T Construction and Heaven Group are the companies in which students get placed. The package range is between 8,000 to 12,000 Rupees per month. Around 70% of students get placed. I am already got placed as a site engineer by myself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are high. If you got the first rank then you will get around 10,000 Rupees scholarship. In civil engineering, most of the student is placed by themselves. But yet those of you who want to get placed can get around 8,000 to 12,000Rs. package per month.

Campus Life

Not many festivals are conducted. There is a tech fest conducted every time whose name is frolic. You can get books for your course and if you want to prepare for another UPSC exam then you can also get this type of book. Classrooms amenities are good. Sports and extracurricular activities are too less.

The parul university review

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

My Life at Parul University as a computer science student

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,
