Remarks :
All I will say is "STAY IN DISCIPLINE", else the management will screw you. I already mentioned, it's just like a boarding school. The only difference is that you don't have to wear same uniform. And one most important thing about the college, "IT IMPOSES LOTS OF FINE."
Entrance Preview :
I got this college via JEE Mains. My score was 70. Since I wouldn't have got any of the NITs or other GFTIs, I opted for this college. It has a very good reputation in Madhya Pradesh and has recently been announced as the best private University for engineering by MHRD itself.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course structure is very good. It's unlike the old syllabus of RGPV. Many a things have been revised. It has been designed in such a manner so as to attract various companies and impart more and more knowledge to the students. The course structure resembles the course structure of various other universities like SRM, DU etc. (It's not exactly the same as theirs, but there are lots of similarities)
Internships Opportunities :
No such exposure is given to first year students. If you want to do internship, you'll have to find one by yourself.
Placement Experience :
The first batch of Medi-Caps, after it has become a University is yet to pass out. So there's no placement records. Talking about placements of MITM and MIST, it's good. Many IT companies like TCS, CSC, L&T, Eicher etc visit the campus. For detailed information, you may visit the University website
College Events :
The annual fest of Medi-Caps i.e. Moonstone is the largest function organised by the University. Lots of events are included and it lasts for three days. Arjun Kanungo and DJ Sartek were the special attraction of Moonstone 2017. Other than Moonstone, Dandiya night is the other function organised by the University where also one can enjoy hell lots. Other than these events, seminars are arranged at regular intervals. Recently, a seminar on space research was organised in association with ISRO.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
It's 85,000 per annum (for B.Tech) which is going to get revised from this year onwards. Compared to other private universities like SRM, VIT , KIIT Manipal etc, the fee structure here is quite feasible. Plus various scholarships are also available for deserving candidates.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes scholarships are available. Like for students having reservations, or very less family income. Loan facilities are also available. You'll find out the details at the University website.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very good. The University campus is quite beautiful. There's lots of place to hangout with friends if you're on a bunk or having a free lecture. Gender ratio is almost same in branches like CS, EC, IT however in branches like ME, CIV or FT, there are negligible female candidates. I guess the scenario is same at every engineering colldge in india. Various clubs are there, like sports club, cultural club, of which you can become a member. The membership fee is nominal. These clubs keep on arranging various workshops and seminars time to time of which you can become a part of.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are not that good. Three students have to share a single room and that's compulsory. There's a common washroom for each floor. During summer, you will have to face scarcity of water. You won't be able to keep eny electronics device like kettle, induction etc with you. If caught, fine will be imposed along with your device being ceased by them. Food at mess is terrible. WiFi speed is good but you'll have to face connectivity issues very often. I'll not suggest to avail the hostel facilities. Better take an apartment at rent nearby the campus. It will cost same as that of hostel fees which is 5-6 thousands per month.
Alumni/Alumna :
Many ex-Medicapsians are now at very good place. They are doing great in their lives. Passing out from Medi-Caps will surely turn you into someone, well cultured and wise. Seniors are very helpful. Just try to make good bondings with them. They'll help you out in many matters. You'll need them in many matters, I must say.
Exam Structure :
Talking about exams and labs and assignments and all, Medi-Caps is just like a boarding school. It won't allow you to have fun even on weekends. Assignment and file submissions will ruin the joy of your life. Two mid semester exams and one end semester are conducted accompanied by lots of other internals.
Admission :
Just go through the website of Medi-Caps University and you will find a link there at the bottom of the page to download the application form. Download it, fill it up and apply. It's simple. The administration is quite good. It'll inform you whether you are shortlisted, via messaging. One more thing.. you'll have to pay a registration fee of INR 15,000 which is non refundable. It will get adjusted in your semester fee once you get admission. So do check out the cutoff before registering.
Faculty :
Faculties are very sincere. You'll not find better than some of them in whole of Indore. Some of the faculties have published their books which are very popular among the students of all the colleges under RGPV. They are dedicated towards their duties and regardless of their experience in terms of months or years, they are capable enough to make you understand topics easily.
