Remarks :
In 2016 IIT Patna ranked as 10 best in Engineering category and still it is going well. More than 40 research scholar study here and have good research paper.
Entrance Preview :
GATE 2017 Rank 512. Since faculty is best here. so I opted this college. The day I joined here, I can feel that my decision is right. In my interview, professors were very frank. They asked me about my previous study. Then they asked me some questions related to my area. During my interview, they helped me a lot.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am working here in department of mathematics and working in area of partial differential equation. It is the best decision I have ever made. My guide is Dr. Amit Kumar Verma. He is very good as a guide . My topic is wavelet. Recently I have completed my course work. Now my complete focus is on my research.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes it provides. There are so many projects going on in summer in out IIT. A lot of students come and join our iit as summer intern. These are unpaid internship but they can get a lot of experience.
Placement Experience :
More than 80% placement for undergraduates. Most of PG students go for higher studies abroad or working as a faculty in reputed institute of INDIA. If u took admission in our IIT than YO are 80% sure that u would be placed Next 20% depends on your hard work, how much u do work hard. Overall, placement is very good in our college.
College Events :
Techno fest CELESTA in October. Cultural Fest Anwesha in January. Sports fest Infinito in March as well as many short time fest celebrated in our IIT. During any festival it is really awesome to see culture of our IIT. These fest are National Level Fest. Many colleges participates in our fests. So many celebrities are invited during fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Since this is government college, fee structure is not so expensive. You can easily complete your study with out pressure of hike in fees. That is why a national level competition goes on to join IITs. They provide best education in cheapest rate also other facilities like hostel in cheapest rate.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
It is pretty easy to get education loan if you are student of India. For doctorate students they provide 25000 per month scholarship. There are so many scholarship for SC/ST students.
Campus Life :
FACULTY -There are all varieties of teachers good, Average & bad. I would say nature of the teachers are average but the quality is quite superior in most of the courses. Some of the teachers are highly experts in their subjects. Overall classrooms are filled with knowledge. PLACEMENT -Yes, placement opportunity is very good and placements have always been very interested and almost entire batch gets placed by the end of placement season. Most of the companies come to hire students and offer such a higher packages to students. CAMPUS LIFE -Campus life is very good and this campus has a well stocked and well equipped labs, furnished library, a host of outdoor and indoor games and sports, well-furnished cottages for faculty, wide open spaces, lush green lawns are here. GENDER RATIO- Very less no of girls study here. Government is trying to increase number of girls.
Hostel Facilities :
It's above average!! The conversation which I have had about mess food with couple of my friends who are from different colleges has brought me to the conclusion that mess food served in IIT is much better than other colleges!!! Special mess is pretty good!!! However , most of the Iitians including me complain about mess food because ghar k khane ki baat hi kuch aur hi hoti hai. However generally speaking mess food in IIT is pretty good!
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni is very much helpful. They help students to get internship abroad as well as getting good jobs. Alumni network is strong enough. As you talk about senior students, they are pretty smart and helpful.
Exam Structure :
Labs may be chill It may be hectic. Depends on how you are taking. Actually if you have interest in subject the labs are cool, otherwise it can be boring. Everything depends on you. We have semester patterns, two times per year Once in end of November and other in end of April. So we are stress free if we got bad marks in November we can compensate it in April.
Admission :
First I qualified IIT JAM and took admission in IIT BHUBANESWAR. Then after completing my masters there ,I qualified net and gate exam. Then I applied here for p.hd. After successful shortlisting of form. I got chance to give interview her. And after a good interview, where professor asked me about my CGPA nad question related to me area of interest they selected me for P.hd. It was a great experience I would say.
Faculty :
The main key point of this IIT is that faculty have a keen interest in their area. They love their subject and we love the way they teach. They always take care that they can convey their points wisely. This IIT is famous for its faculty. They are veery frank and humble. This is my good luck that I have choosen this college.
