- The college in which I am studying is Advance Institute of Science and Technology, but it is inside the campus of Maya Devi University.
- They have a huge campus. And one interesting thing is they have hostel in there college campus but it's 2 km away from college buildings.
Dislikes
- College placement is little lesser as expected. No such high packages. They also have a good central library.. All infrastructure is good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There are many courses that are available here.. They offer a variety of courses. Fees are also affordable and lesser than other colleges. I have chosen Bsc hons in Agriculture because they have a very large area for field work. Different types of plants, trees etc are there to make the student learn about it. The agriculture labs, pharmacy labs, btech labs are very well maintained. They teach with the help of books. They also have a central library. They also take projector classes.. Collge reporting time is 9:30 and departure is 4:30. They take 50 minutes of each classes with a mid interval of half an hour for lunch.
Internships Opportunities :
There is several companies that offer internship programs. Different courses have different ranges of companies that offer internship. Placement is not so high but companies like Amazon, Google, flip kart, Tata, and different agricultural companies or many more visits our campus.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am in Bsc Agriculture. My course fee is 68000 per year. And hostel fee is 80000. They usually don't increase fee but there is a late fine system in which they usually take fine for late submission of fee at 0.5%. They take admission fee that is about 20000. They take money for educational trips and tours. It's not included in the fee. They provide little bit of scholarship on your 12th class marks according to the percentage you have. There are different people in the campus. Life admission staffs, faculties,gardener etc. The chairman, vice chairman and managing director and all other people having a powerful position is good and helpful.
Campus Life :
They organize a lot of events. Mostly agriculture and pharmacy related events are prioritize here. They held events in the month of November or December. They have different clubs related to music, dance, theatres, plants, etc. They organize a very big Krishi Vigyan Mela in the campus. They have a central library. Number of books are available. Each department have their own big library containing all the books and journals related to the respective course. They smart classes. They have PhD holder faculties. They consider different sports and promotes yoga and different planting programs.
Hostel Facilities :
There is two kinds of room available in the hostel. One room is for three sharing and other for two sharing. And both fee is different. Three sharing fee is 80000 including mess and laundry. And two sharing fee is 90000 including mess and laundry. They give different foods everyday... The quality of food is average, it's sometime good or can be bad sometimes. Room size for three sharing is very big and two sharing is also good but very small as compared to three sharing. They have a set menu. It includes puri-sabji, aloo paratha, idli-sambhar, paratha sabji in breakfast, they serve different lunch and dinner. They serve 4 time meal including breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.. They also give chicken. You can take admission easily through the admission cell. The view from hostel is very beautiful. You can choose your room.. Warden is very especially the girls one.
Admission :
They take admission by seeing your 12th marksheet. You can register online on the college site for a specific course or you can directly come to the college. Registration fee is 5000. They don't see any entrance exam results. They take admission directly. You can apply on Maya Devi University website. You can take admission any time in the whole year, it's the most beneficial thing. There is no reservation benefits here.. All are equally treated. Admission process is very quick. They don't take much time. They take exams for a month.
Faculty :
The faculties are highly educated. They all are PhD holders. They are very friendly and always ready to help. They teaches very well. They provide good mentorship to students. The number of faculty present in the college is not so high.. But still they keep an eye on every student. In a day, there is 4-5 lectures taken and 2 labs. Faculty also share information about future stuffs that can help us to improve.
