GATE + BITS ME Entrance Exam + Interview, GATE Score - 86 percentile. BITS is an institute of repute which has demonstrated and proven academic excellence. BITS believes in extracting true potential of students instead of rating them in terms of marks or comparing with others.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, Internship program was very well chalked out with prior tie up with various companies. Students were asked to give preferences and were granted on the basis of previous semester score and interest area.

Placement Experience :

I got a job right on the first day and in my dream company at that time i.e. Motorola India, as I wanted to join a cutting edge technology company in working for systems software. It was considered as only CMM level 5 in India with high quality standard and they only visited few colleges and were very selective in their interview process.

Fees and Financial Aid :

I was offered UGC GATE scholarship which covered the in-college fee and I only had to spend on food and study etc. There are ways to even take up intern work within the institute or help with some activities and you get paid for that to cover up the fee if required.

Exam Structure :

BITS education believes in evaluating the capability rather than the ability to memorize things. Exams focused on the application of the concepts learned during the course. Most of the exams were open book. Needless to say answers were not present in the books.

Faculty :

BITS has some unique techniques to design time table which linked faculty and students. Students were allowed to choose the time and faculty for a given subject based on their schedule and comfort level instead of having a fixed class and fixed set of faculties.

Course Curriculum Overview:

there was covering the all topics and maintain the balance between theory and practical classes. there was a great deapth of material and classroom teaching. need to be focus on adaptive learning rather than tradional learning.

My M.SC (Animal Biotechnology ) Journey

Admission:

The admission procedure was not so tough. The college provided admission in this course for only those students who had completed their BSc with Biology /Microbiology /Biotechnology /Lifesciences etc. The general category candidates must had 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc and the SC/ST/OBC candidates must had 55% aggregate marks in B.SC for got admission.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college were at the top. They focused more on the placements. Most of the top companies visited there every year in search of knowledgeable students. About 85% of the students of my batch got placed in good companies.

Youtube hired a student from my college and his package was amazing.
