Remarks :
Overall the remarks about the college are good and the management is also very good. I don`t have any bad experience with them at any point of time. Anti-ragging cell and disciplinary committee have been specially constituted to deal with any incidents of ragging and indiscipline. Hence an environment of well-being pervades in the university campus.
Entrance Preview :
I had given AIEEE exam for entrance and have scored well. I got to hear about the college from my relatives in dehradun and when i visited there, i was amazed as first impression of the college was great. The infrastructure of the college was so beautiful that i was half prepared for the admission. Later i searched for the courses and placements and the placement record of the college helped me deciding among my college options.

Our placement department is working untiringly to identify best corporate for placements and match the skills of our students to suit their requirements. We can boast of having an impressive record of on-campus placements through the years.University Training and Placement dept. focuses on preparing the students for dynamics of professional life with the objective of promoting industry-academic linkage our summer training is planned to put more stress on applying theoretical concepts into hands-on work experience in the industry. Students have to undergo two months summer internship in the companies/departments, with which we have tie-ups.For engineering students the summer training is undertaken in the penultimate year and for students of management it starts after the second semester of the program. For the students of undergraduate programmes in management and business studies summer training is introduced from the fourth semester for all the courses this session is faculty-supervised. This summer training equips the students with practical application skills, relevant to various situations. It is an attempt to bridge the gap between the theoretical concepts and practical applications of these concepts. This training is a simulation of the real work environment and enables students to experience the rigors of a professional organization.

Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee is feasible.At Uttaranchal University a large percentage of students from different parts of the country live in on-campus hostels with attached Mess. We have built separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. There is provision for single room, double room, three bed and four bed room. Each room is furnished with bed/beds, mattress, study table, chair, cupboard and curtaians. There are spacious lawns within the hostel campus for the students to play different games or to take walk or recreate themselves. 24X7 electricity, Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi, security and state-of-the-art plumbing. Great care is taken to maintain hygienic conditions and cleanliness. Hostels are spruced up with all the basic amenities and provide a pollution free environment to all incumbents. Hostel common rooms are fully equipped with HD TV network, Indoor games, news papers and laundry staff. There is a separate group of hostel maintenance staff under the active supervisions of the chief warden. They take care of cleanliness, tending to lawns and any malfunctioning of sanitary system or electrical gadgets. Every effort is made to provide home comforts. Yes they provide scholarships/ loan facility to the students. I haven`t availed them but they provide that is for sure. There are conditions to avail the faility.

It depends on the nature of the person whether he/she is helpful or not. But yes there is no scope of ragging in the campus or in hostel premises.
Exam Structure :
Computer centre is the place from where we can get all the facilities related to the information technologies. This centre has a number of high performance computing facilities, state-of-the-art servers, high end Linux and Windows labs. and various advanced application software.The centre supports an institute wide 1000 Mbps fibre optic network that connects all the academic departments, hostels, libraries, other blocks and other central facilities to the this centre. It has a computer system with server (Linux server, domain server, database server, Thin Client Server, backup server, ERP server and storage).The work of this centre is under the control of Mr. Devendra Singh Bhandari, system manager.
Faculty :
The faculty of Law and Legal Studies (Law College Dehradun) offers courses at under graduate and post graduate levels.The faculty of Engineering and Technology (Uttaranchal Institute of Technology) offers study programs in B.Tech (CSE, ME, CE, PE,EE, ECE), Polytechnic courses, under graduate courses in Life Sciences & Allied Sciences. At post graduation level UIT runs M.Tech programme and M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry.The faculty of Management & Business Studies and Computer Application (Uttaranchal Institute of Management) is running under graduate, post graduates and diploma courses in Management, Business Studies, IT & Economics.In addition to these programs, the Research Study Department of the university offers doctoral programs (Ph.D) in the field of Law and Legal studies, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engg., Information Technology, Management, Economics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
