Entrance Preview :

I appeared for All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). And I opt this collage as It is the best and repuatated engineering College of that time.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college follows HPU (Himachal Pradesh University) Syllabus. It is some what old but useful to clear basic engineering needs in information technology industry.Practicals are as per need ,which enhance students pratical knowlege and help them to clear basic fundamental concept.

Internships Opportunities :

College has tie up with some companies(Infosys,IBM etc) ,which schedule some training programs,but there is no stipend given.

Placement Experience :

Some of Computer science students are placed and got a job offer of rs23000 a month at a company in bengalore.

College Events :

In IEET (BUEST) all kind of events are celebrated. Sports day is celebrated for 3 days in year, In which all kind of games are involved (indoor ,outdoor) and more over Students are arranging so many events on monthly basis supported by college management, which brings good atmosphere in college and at the end College cultural national Fest is celebrated with full efforts for 3 days.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are some programs which leads to scholarship e.g. Betyon ki Bari and In this program college is conducting test throughout the schools of HP and the based on ranks it provides scholarship for girls so that girls can study further.

Campus Life :

Campus is good provided all facilities, Gender ratio is almost equal, students are joining from different states. All facilities like zym, plagrounds, tv, indoor games, wi-fi, 24 hrs electricity and water is provided. Sports day is celebrated for 3 days in year,in which all kind of games are involved (indoor ,outdoor).And at the end College cultural national Fest is celebrated with full efforts for 3 days.

Alumni/Alumna :

All the seniors are helpful. Whenever we went for any help, they are ready to help. They provides us books and Notes for preparing. They are ready to guide whenever we are in problem.

Exam Structure :

All the exams structure are well arranged and labs structure is designed in that way that students can put maximum efforts in there works and the day in which labs are scheduled are not hectic, students enjoyed to work in labs.

Faculty :

As we know teacher should be good and plays important roll in building. The faculty is quite good and most of them are experienced and came from its domain fields. Most of them have done industrial work in there specific field. So, I will rate faculty four out of five.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a web designer. The faculties are quite interesting and hard working and the faculties are good. Maximum faculties are quite good. Some have done MTech and some are Ph.D. holders. Exams are mediocre and there are semester systems and likely to be in January and July.

NIT Hamirpur - a good choice

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent for Computer Science and Electronics. Certain good package offering companies comprise Codenation, Arcesium, Amazon, Siemens, Qualcomm, etc. Apart from these Paytm, Public Sapients, Infosys, Wipro, Samsung, etc. hire a good bunch of students. Electrical, Civil, Mechanical students are allowed to sit for companies such as Capgemini, Accenture, Wipro, etc. The placement rate of CSE and ECE is more than 100% but that's not the case with all the other branches. 1.2 crore forms the highest package being offered to the date. For an average CSE student, 7-8 LPA is the average package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. I am not that knowledgeable about the companies and offers on the campus. Students having CGPA above 7.5 are likely to get in campus placements. I plan on going for government jobs in the civil engineering sector after the completion of my degree.

College management should reconsiderdecision there newly implemented decision of holding classes from 9 the morning to 6:00 in the evening because this kind of busyness in the schedule of students everyday life takes away chance of the student to get involved in extra curricular activities which actually help him to know himself better and what he actually likes.

Best college Hamirpur NIT

Admission:

I got admission to this college via an entrance exam named (JEE mains). The admission process had various steps to be followed. It will take 1 or 2 days to complete the admission process. I opted for this course because I like to learn about technology. I choose this institute because of my marks on the entrance exam and also by its facilities. 1st there is seat reservation then submission of forms then checking of forms and finally getting roll no. And hostel facility.

Placement Experience:

On-campus placement in our college is pretty good. Several companies visit our campus such as Bharat petroleum, INFOSYS, bajaj, etc. About 75 to 80% of students get placed in every batch. We have a special club for the preparation of placements named as placement cell, it helps us in various ways such as increasing communication skills.

Remarks:

I only have positive remarks that mess food is great, sports section is great, festsare great and faculty is great. Teaching assistants are great. Also infrastructre environment, clubs also we have annual inter iit cultural, sports, and tech fest in which every iit takes part and ig is a great experience.

Remarks:

College is in its early days. It will get better day by day. It is located in a really peaceful location surrounded by the Dhauladhar hills but yes it is located in a remote location, 4 km in from the main city (Nagrota Bagwan). The campus is really clean and beautiful. All the facilities like WiFi, Medical, Security, Parking ect are given to every student. But the negative thing about RGGEC Kangra is that there is no computer centre available at this time, there is no proper transportation facility available. I hope our college will overcome these negative things very soon.

I score 110 marks in JEE mains 2014 and then get admission in this college by the counselling process.

Admission:

Because of general category my marks was not sufficient for a government engineering college JNGEC . Therefore I had chosen this college in the counselling done by Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur. I had filled a counselling form online but the counselling process is not online.
