Remarks :

It was like any other institute. Had some good points like had a basic infrastructure for running courses but administration wise it was NOT at all good. I had issues in getting university examination ticket for a semester exam for which I had to go to university office on my own to get it. Also in my final year they or university people did a mistake by omitting a letter from my surname in my 5th and 6th semester mark sheets and also in final degree. Despite sending requests to them soon after getting my 5th sem faulty result online nothing happened. Many written requests during 6th semester and post 2 years completion of MCA did not change anything. The institute completely failed in resolving this issue. Finally I had to go to university and got my corrected marksheet in two days.

Entrance Preview :

None, wanted to do MCA along with work, so selected Softdot based on some research like how old is institute, how many courses it is running and nearness to my residence.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It was not any different from any other universities of India. It covered the important fundamentals and some new technologies as well. Initial two semesters were all about basics, rest semesters were more focused on different technologies including web based, database and operating system.

Internships Opportunities :

It was nice and introduced with new world, nothing was paid. With some efforts I got a chance in a company. People were nice there from whom I learned new things.

Placement Experience :

Placements were not really good from college side, it was individual efforts of students. Most of the students did get placed over course of time but I guess this has nothing to do with the college but once again individual efforts.

College Events :

There were event like cultural events at Talkatora stadium, different gaming events mostly cricket tournament besides new year parties and diwali parties.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

At that time its was around 10500 for a semester i.e. 21000 for a year. I guess it was definitely more than the services being offered by the institute.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Not really sure, but I believe there some program in UG and PG courses where there were loan offered by banks for the courses.

Campus Life :

I would say beside normal theory rooms and labs there were not much facilities but for IT course like mine I think this is what mostly requited. There were some industry visits as well beside events like cultural events etc.

Hostel Facilities :

There were no hostel or mess. People had to go outside the institute to buy food. There were many popular food outlets at the ground floor of the building where the institute was present.

Alumni/Alumna :

There exist none I guess may be it is not popular on social networking circuits. Didn't get much chance to interact with seniors. There exist an alumni link on institute web site but I guess very few are using it.

Exam Structure :

All tests had two main components-practical(30) and theory(70). To clear the exam one had to get atleast 50 marks atleast overall.

Faculty :

Standard, Some of them were helpful with individual students but most of them were like jack of all trades handling different quite many subjects alone.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For my batch, the course curriculum was too old approximately 10 years, and did not relate much to the real-life applications or the ways things happen in a corporation. I chose this course as I did BCA in graduation and hoped for better placements hence a gateway for me to a good life after paying so much fees. Now the curriculu has changed but the teaching methods can be made more practical and interactive so as to keep them relative to real-world applications and AI and data-related subjects can be introduced in the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I already did graduation in computer applications so for me it's easy to go for MCA. I have researched and found that IGNOU recently updated their syllabus matching to job market. As they have included AI, Data Science & Machine Learning. Exams are really hard to pass. You need to study seriously to pass in exams.

Entrance Preview:

I appeared for IP university's entrance test for getting into MCA. I had a decent score of 1900, but since I did my BCA from CCS university I was considered as an outsider. So that's why I didn't had much choice for colleges and ended up in HMRITM.

Placement Experience:

Very few companies came, namely Infosys,Genpact,TCS etc. Out of these very few came looking for MCA students. I was selected by Genpact at a package of 2lpa.
