Vipul Shah's Review On Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute Of Management Studies & Research - [BVIMSR], Mumbai

Remarks :

I don't have any bad remark for my college as such, but I think placement ratio needs to be improved. Ultimately it is depend on student performance, But I feel college make it more effective by conduction Industrial Visits and arranging hackthones & workshops.

Entrance Preview :

I took MCA Entrance CET and scored 98 percentile. To be honest I opted for Bharati Vidyapeeth since I didn't selected college preference in expected way. But I can say I don't regret my decision since its a best college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was really good and it is designed in such a way that, student is well prepared to work in corporate environment. The only down point was syllabus was quite hectic.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships / final placement offered at my time was not upto the mark may be because of recession but all students at least managed to get final placement in firms if not in MNCs. Placement officers did tremendous job to calling out respective companies and check for available placements. Average stipend offered at my time was around 5000 INR / Month.

Placement Experience :

70% of students got final placements. Not many MNCs visited our campus, few of the MNC visited were Accenture & Capgemini. Average package that was offered : 3L / Annum.

College Events :

We used to celebrate Manthan event every year which involved conducting multiple competitions by inviting students from other colleges. There used to quite a few technical workshops which we used to enjoy a lot.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees structure at my time was quite feasible. It was around 70,000 INR for a year for 3 years course. I am really sure If there was provision for paying fees in instalment.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I availed Ratan Tata scholarship in my first year. I am not aware about loan facility offered by college.

Campus Life :

Campus life was good. We had strict actions defined for anyone who will/ever involves in any illicit act. Computer labs were really good. We had frequent external speaker sessions on Robotics and programming which were really good.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel was not good not bad. Rental was pretty high as compared to facilities offered. Food offered was of good quality and rooms were ok ok.

Alumni/Alumna :

Bharti Vidyapeeth hosts Milan Alumni event every year and I am very thankful to our college for that, since it provides unique platform for you to interact with your seniors and get motivated.

Exam Structure :

Exams and Labs structure was very hectic But I would not blame college for that since MCA Syllabus is quite in depth and involves lot of programming languages.

Faculty :

Excellent. All Faculties were equally supportive and always ready to clear all doubts. I got very good support from faculties while preparing for final placement and job interviews.

Placement Experience:

From last semester students become eligible for placement. There are so many companies like tcs, Infosys, Capgemini, etc companies visit our college in last decade. I think 80 to 70 percent students are getting jobs some students didn't get in the criteria so didn't eligible for campus placement. I have to get a job in a good IT company.

Entrance Preview:

In order to secure an admission to the first year, the candidates must have graduated with a 3 year degree minimum and must have secured 50% marks in class 12 and graduation. Apart from this, the student must have studied maths and computers in class 12 so that he/she can understand and retain the subject. The forms are easily available.

Placement Experience:

The college placement cell is very up-to-date and very active. They know everything about the latest trends and understand what skills are required in the industry and a student must possess those skills. For this, some special training programs and recent updated chapters in a course are added and students are taught accordingly. This helps them perform better in the industry.

I get into VIT college through MHCET-MCA. I scored 99.42 percentile in the cet exam. This is top college in Pune for MCA. The admission process is quite simple.

Placement Experience:

In VIT you dont need to worry about placements if one have good scores. Many companies come like TCS, Cognizent, IBM, Infosys, Texas Instruments, Persistent, EQ Technology, Thoughtworx, Barclays, Varian Medical systems. Packages they provide are between 3Lakh to 15Lakh. For MCA department out of 30, 27 students were placed.
