Remarks :

I have been in this college for 4 years and it ha been a gret experience there has been rare fights with teachers and management but overall it has been a great journey.

Entrance Preview :

Never taken an entrance exam opted for this particular college because it had a good name and i fit the minority quota.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum was vast but very knowledgeable. Lots of things were learnt over the last 3 years an currently being learnt as well. I chose finance over marketing as this was the only elective.

Internships Opportunities :

We do not have any compulsory internship programs for this course. There are quite a few optional internships which i personally didnt opt for as the stipend being offered was very low.

Placement Experience :

Several companies come to the college for campus interviews throughout the final year. These are mostly good companies and ones that anyone would want to work for.

College Events :

BMS only events were few overall college events were plenty but we didnt have any event hosted and celebrated only by BMS other events were very enjoyable.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees ranges from 15-17k per year verying slightly per year. These are very reasonable fees for a self-financed course as all other courses are almost free in this college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I haven't ever enquired about a loan facility offered by my college. However they do offer flexible solutions while paying the fees such as installments.

Campus Life :

Sports is given great importance in the college football, hockey, basketball etc debates and quizzes have also been an important part of my campus life.

Hostel Facilities :

We do not have a hostel facility however there is the canteen facility and that is very hygienic and clean.

Alumni/Alumna :

I know my immediate seniors and they have all got placements and job into respectable companies. Most atleast there has not been much of an interaction with students more than one year senior.

Exam Structure :

The exam structure was very chilled out in the final year no internals 75 marks of written papers while the remaining 25 marks are to be earned through project work.

Faculty :

Faculty was a very knowledgeable one all the teachers were highly qualified and knew how to get their message across to the students. Some faculty were from the college itself while many were from outside colleges.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements do come to for Somaiya colleges but they are not so good as the amount we are paying for the fees and the category that this college comes under they should provide at least average placements of 6 to 7 lakhs bare minimum but they do not provide that much higher placements even after paying so much fees and even after considering themselves that a very high level high profile college and university that is your relax today I appeared for an placement interview which was very unprofessional it was a campus placement it was very and professional and that will not even speaking in English it was for a cell strainy but it was not expected from the college side that they are conducting this kinds of placements

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, students are eligible for the campus placements, many big companies visit such as Google, KPMG, ICICI Bank, Deloitte, JP Morgan, etc. The highest package is at a whopping 30 lakh and the average salary stays around 12 lakh. Most of the students get placed, my plans after getting the degree is to pursue MBA.

Placement Experience:

In the Third Year, students become eligible for campus placements. The minimum percentage of students getting placements is 60%. Practical knowledge is equally important with theoretical knowledge as we are in the service industry so we must know well about the industry.

Remarks:

THe college in all is very good. There is nothing the college quite needs to excel at. I would personally like it if the college works a bit more on their placement activities and conducts them in accordance to the students. There an be a few infrastructural improvements too but those are in consistent progressions. I am glad I am a part of the UBS network and will definitely pass out as a happy alumni with flying colours.
