Remarks :
1. Gave SNAP Exam and applied for the course 2. My SNAP score was 94.14 percentile, while the course cutoff was about 90 percentile, so got a call for the next rounds. 3. Next was the GDPIWAT process 4. There was a WAT for 20 minutes: we had to write based on a given topic. 5. There was GD and PI on the same day. 6. combined score of SNAP(50%) and GDPIWAT(50%) was considered as final admission criteria.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is vast and gives extensive coverage of general MBA topics as well as for analytics. Most of the faculties are guest faculties and reputed people from the business side, so they have real-time knowledge of the industry. Student to faculty ratio is less since there are lesser students in this course compared to other courses. Exams are moderate to difficult and are held twice each year. However, assignments and other small exams can be held anytime.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Fees are generally ranging from 17-18 Lacs for this course for 2 years. Every year, fees increase by some amount, however, given the inflation rate the increase is justified. There are various scholarships one can apply for. The details of which are shared after the admission process. Every year, the list changes so there is no accurate list. One can check the current scholarships from SCMHRD website.
Campus Life :
SCMHRD conducts NEEV every year. NEEV is the annual fest where many events are conducted. It is usually conducted in the months of December or January. The infrastructure of the classroom, sports area, and hostel is really good. Plenty of space to read and practice. You can also go to the library and enjoy the internet connection and do your work. Students are allowed to take 4 books from the library at a time. Classrooms are WiFi-enabled, have projectors and are very spacious. There are many student committees to oversee the fest, sports events etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are spacious and good. The rooms are clean. Generally, rooms are three sharing here. The meal is also good, there are both options of veg and non-veg. Three meals along with snacks are served every day.
Interview Experience :
Yes, I faced GD, PI, and WAT for admission. GD topic was based on the increase in funds in the agriculture sector. The PI process will be based on the form and the details submitted by the student as well as on current affairs. In the WAT, there was some image and we were asked to write about the same in 20 minutes. The image can be interpreted in many ways. I read the newspaper daily and check for new content on YouTube so that I get accustomed to Current affairs. Besides, if there is any group of students, it is better to practice the art of GD. Every day, you can take one topic and practice. Group size will be somewhere between 6-9.
