Remarks :

Overall admission procedure was satisfactory. There were no issues because it's a private university, they don't have many procedures. They also have a very big campus and admission block to attract students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

You can expect term exams every 2 months and the course modules will be very relevant to your respective branches. Talking about exams, they won't be much difficult if you want to pass but if you want a good cgpa you have to study really hard.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 162000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Usually, you have 2 projects to submit before your graduation first one would be in company and later group projects. In both projects, you will have mentors just follow their guidance you can score good grades.

Fees and Financial Aid :

There are scholarships based on your jee mains scores and then there is Karnataka engineering entrance exams I don't know what it's called because mine was a management seat. If you have a decent rank your fees will be half of the mine which is around 70-80k

Campus Life :

So many I can't name all because I wasn't interested they had nss. Obviously dance, sports, science, music. It's a really nice place if you wish to spend more time in campus because you will have much to walk and so much to enjoy

Hostel Facilities :

I actually stayed in a hostel for a year my hostel fee was 80k.There are several pg near to campus which will cost you around 5500-7000 totally depends on the facilities. I stayed in pg named gnest I had to pay 6600 approx.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.
