Remarks :
The admission process was done through JAC. The eligibility criteria was that jee mains rank was to be taken into consideration. The application form can be downloaded from JAC website and can be applied online as per the JAC guidelines. An amount of ?1500 is needed for regiatration. The dates cannot be foretold as it depends on the time NTA declared jee mains result. No category rank is taken into consideration but common rank is taken into consideration. And still, there is a reservation policy. It would be better if JAC would be more approachable and contactable than now. Of course there is email and all but it takes too much time. And online fee payment gateway needs to be improved for easier access. Apart from this, the other thing that I would like to mention is that, the councelling process takes too much time.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Firstly i choose this course because i am interested in physics and at the same time wanted to study a professional course. So the only way is to enroll in a Btech programme which still offer maximum amount if physics to it. So engineering physics is the choice. Faculties are great as i have heard and upto what i have seen till now. But the student ratio is not upto expectation. Male to female ratio is roughly 10:1 with a class strength of around 80 students. The faculties possess phd and are great at teaching. Exams are on schedule as per the timelines made by college authorities and is easy for hardworking students.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies and institutions offer internships like DRDO, ISRO, CSIR and many more which I dont know much about. Since i haven't done my internship, i am not sure about it. But those who do internship do some innovative projects.
Placement Experience :
Students can sit for campus placements after the examination of 6th semester. Companies like TATA, Google, Microsoft, Reliance, IOS and other tech and non-tech companies offer on campus jobs. As per record, the highest placement was about 20 lpa and the average ranges from 9-12 lpa. Roughly 80% got placement. But I plan to do higher studies abroad.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees are really spiking up to a lakh and cost of study is really high. It may be difficult for backward classes as it is really high. But of course there are various scholarships like NSP, Siemens and many more. If these are applicable then it is really useful to a great extent.
Campus Life :
There are many tech fest in the campus organised by various societies. The most popular one is the Engtech fest. Because of the pandemic, a specific time cannot be mentioned. The college subscribe to almost all the popular magazine and newspaper and a variety of books are there i the library which is certainly enough for studies. Classroom facilities are upto marks. Because of the pandemic no such activities and sports are organised. There are various societies such as DCG, E-cell, Cosmological society, AIMS and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is quite nice. Mess is also good and available at a reasonable cost. There are gyms and other facilities, which are all up to standards. The hostels have a wide compound which is a good sign. Registration is made through the dtu website. And the fees for first year student ia roughly 30000.
Other Applied Colleges
