Remarks :

12th pass and qualify Neet with good marks. Apply online at the DME Assam website. I want the admission process to be faster and easier for students. Also if possible they should decrease the admission fees.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I always wanted to be a doctor and wanted to help society. The student and faculty ratio in our class is 30:2, all the faculties are MBBS graduate and postgraduate in their subject and they are highly qualified, they teach us very well. In a year there are three internal assessments and one final exam and one must pass to get into the next class, the exams are very tough.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is for 1 year. It is a great but hectic time as we get to learn a lot from the different departments like Medicine, Surgery, Obs and Gyne, etc. Nemcare hospital, Apollo hospital, etc are the hospitals that provide opportunities to work and earn a good deal of money.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

In medical college only there are only one time admission fees of Rs 31000. Many students apply for scholarships like Ishan Uday, MLA scholarship etc. I didn't apply for any of them. I am yet to get a stipend as I am studying UG.

Campus Life :

We don't have any campus. The college is uphill and the hospital is near the roadside. There is a super speciality building too. We don't get time to enjoy social life as medical life is very hectic. Synchisis - Medifest. Books and journals are available. Desks and benches are available. Sports week and college week are held once a year. GMC students union is present. Also, the junior doctors association is present.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms have got Bed, Table and Chair. A wardrobe is also available. Electricity is free and is present 24/7 The meal is good. Egg, Fish and Chicken are present along with Dal and Vegetables. Registration is done while admission to the college. Registration fees are Rs 1260.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MBBs because it's a noble profession. A human being must serve people and society and it can be best done by being a doctor. That's why I chose MBBS. All faculties are NEET: PG qualified. Faculties are great experienced but few of them fail to deliver their knowledge fully but that's only a few. The faculty ratio is 1:20. The teaching method is mainly practical. Clinical exposure is given from 1st year itself. And for the theory part, there are smart classes available. The frequency of exams is high. More than twice a month you have to appear for an exam, may it be a semester or internal assessment or part completion test. Exams are not MCQ-based and the difficulty is moderate. A punctual study from starting makes it easy to pass any exam.
