Remarks :

The college admits students on the basis of their Jee Mains rank. The counseling for the college takes place under JAC CHANDIGARH, forms for which usually get out after Jee Mains exam. You can not get a seat in this college through JoSAA counseling. The cutoff for General category students is mostly between 60-90k. But don't worry. The college provides many other types of reservations apart from SC, ST, or OBC.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculties at the college are highly qualified and possess brilliant and deep knowledge of their field. They are very much supportive and will help you out in almost every situation. The course is designed in such a way that it prepares the students for the industry culture and helps them grow by leaps and bounds. The course is divided into 8 semesters and each semester consists of 2 mid-term exams and 1 final exam. If you study for at least 3 days a week, the exams will be a cakewalk for you.

Class Size : 95Course Fees : INR 75000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The department has a placement cell that brings companies for hiring students for internship programmes. Many students get on-campus internships, most of which get converted into Pre-placement offers. Projects are alloted to the interns during their internship and on the basis of that, they are selected for the job offers.

Placement Experience :

The college has had a tremendous history of placements over the year. Many companies visit the department to recruit students of 4th year. Before the covid19 pandemic, the department had an excellent record where almost 95% students used to get placed. However due to Covid, the department witnessed a drop in the number of companies visiting the college, still many of our seniors got placed. In 2021 itself, around 4-5 companies managed to recruit students and this is much more than other colleges.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of the course are unimaginable. It costs around 80000 for the whole degree which accounts to less than 20000 per year and this is extremely less than other colleges. The college also provides various scholarships to students.

Campus Life :

The college life at UICET is very enjoyable. The department organizes a cultural fest named as Cyanide every year. Apart from that many technical fests are also held at the campus. The library consists of many books. Many sports events such as inter class Cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and others for both boys and girls are also organised by the department. The department also has many societies such as dance club, arts Club, music club, e cell, bhangra club, english speaking club, photography club and many other clubs which will add lot of skills to your CV.

For third semester students are eligible for campus placement. Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Hitachi and many more companies are visit for placement in chandigarh university. Highest package is 24 lakhs average is 6 lakhs. Above 80 percent of students are placed. I plan is take campus placement in 3rd semester.

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is good but this year no of placement is less as compare to the last year. In B.E. From 6 semster student were eligible for placement and all this big MNC visit the campus for placement like Infosys, Microsoft,etc.this 9000+ offer were there. Near about 70% student get placement. My plans after the degree I want to became the data analytics after the completion of course.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is 93 percent this year . Companies start visiting department in the month of September. Students are eligible for placement as they enter in the final year (7 semester) . The average package is around 5.5 Lakhs per annum and highest package is 12 lakh per annum. Students can go in field of pharmaceutical industry, oil and petroleum, fertiliser, paints, chemicals etc . Or students can opt for higher studies masters, MBA , abroad opportunities. Around 45 companies visited for placements with average 5 offers per company.

Placement Experience:

The placement are good, you will see many companies visit the campus such as Amazon Google Wipro TCS connivance Accenture Deloitte and many more. The main baad thing is their placements is that if you get a offer from any company irrespective of package then you have to accept and there is no option to deny the offer aane of you don't join then you will get debated from placement process.

Remarks:

I chose this college because I was not able to get admission in pec and this college was the only option. Academics wise its good. Faculties are good. The bad side is the college life you expect its almost zero there. No social life. There are only 5-600 students in the campus. And pretty bad cafeteria.

Admission:

To get the admission here you have to appear for jee mains. And according to the cutoffs you will get the admission. I prepared for it with my normal tutions.
