Remarks :
Medicaps is strict in terms of attendance! but also it is among good private universities in mp. It has a good campus as well. i would suggest to visit clg atleast once. Medicaps is certainly a good college i would say. But yeah it lacks in some points.
Entrance Preview :
JEE mains- 102 Marks, Opted for MIST as it was a college of Medicaps Group which was well known in the state having good placements.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Well the course structure was good. Every semester we had an elective course but we were not given choice to elect that course as faculties and facilities for all the courses were not there with the college so we were given elective courses by the college itself. Practical and research perspective there was less exposure.
Internships Opportunities :
No internships provided, at the end of third year we are told to get an industrial training from outside so we ourselves search for some firm. Which could give us internships, College did not provide the internship.
Placement Experience :
Medicaps university is 8a new college of medicaps group and companies come to a college which has at least 2 passed out batches so placements were comparatively less, still our TPO tried best to arrange off campus and pool placements which turned out to be good for students. Almost 80 percent students got placed in good multinational companies like cognizant, TCS, infosys etc.
College Events :
Well there used to be two events in the college-one dandia night event where during navratri. All college students dressed up traditional and came t the college to dance on the DJ and garba steps.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees is feasible, The fee structure was 85K per year which excluded the hostel fee. This includes Bus fee and tuition fee. Well the course structure was good. Every semester we had an elective course but we were not given choice to elect that course as faculties and facilities for all the courses were not there with the college so we were given elective courses by the college itself. Practical and research perspective there was less exposure.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For below poverty line families scholarships were provided 30% (approx) discount on the tuition fee. For university toppers in any subject the whole tuition fee was waived. No other scholarships and loan facility offered by the college. I believe for good scoring students scholarships must be offered so that they are motivated throughout to perform well.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio was good Boys and girls were in good proportion, No parties we did not even get a freshers party or farewell. Only one annual cultural event happened every year Moonstone which was also cancelled the last year. Students were only from Indore and nearby areas like Ujjain, Dewas, Mahu etc. Students of almost all religions studied and there was no discrimination.
Hostel Facilities :
I used to live at my home as Indore is my hometown but as far as heard by hostel friends. Hostel is attached with the college campus there were two seperate hostels one boys and other girl with common canteen. Hostels were good but there was water problems, Hot water was not properly supplies and drinking water problems were there. Mess food was pathetic as per them.
Alumni/Alumna :
They are good. they may only ask to introduce yourself being 1st year student! All the faculties were holding masters degree in the college, all were having good knowledge of subjects except a few. Senior teachers were also there. I remember few teachers who had sound knowledge of their subjects Sapan Prajapati-Java teacher, Ankush Sir- Data stucture, Algorithms Parneeti Mam- Chemistry.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure was hectic. In one semester there used two be 2 mid sems and one end sems, which one internal exam and one external exam. Rather than studying and understanding the course a person is mostly involved in exam preparations. There should be more practical knowledge given to the students and less of tests to that they can do quality studies.
