Entrance Preview :

IP university conducts its own exam, I got a rank of 1123 and got a seat in evening shift at maharaja agrasen college, as per the ranking it is at 3rd number best college of IP university, also it is near to my place so I choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was average, IP university is an average university for MBA. For engineers they are still better but for MBA they are not good. They do not have good placements and even the main campus at dwarka doesn't provide you good college placement. You have to work hard urself and give off campus interviews to get placed. Some companies do come but the package they offer will be in the range if 2-5 lacs max.

Internships Opportunities :

No, internship is provided, you have to search for your own internship and one has to do 2 month industrial internship in the second year of your MBA. No stipend is provided. Normally students take dummy certificates for their known companies.

Placement Experience :

Placements are not good. Even the main Dwarka campus do not provide good placements. Salary ranges from 2 to 5 lakhs max. I do not remember the details of what all companies came but the following are the few companies came at my time as follows Genpact - more than 20 placements - package offered was 2 lakh, 99 Acres - 3 placements - 4.5 lakhs offered, HDFC bank - 5 placements - 2 lakhs.

College Events :

Annual day, Annual fest, Sports tournament and many other events held at the college. Some are small and some are large all the colleges in IP university take part in annual fest held at mains.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is feasible, every college has different fees in IP university, Maims Charge 2.5 lakhs for the full MBA course. You have to make payment yearly of 1.25 lakh each in the starting of every year. This is the good thing in IP university as the fees are low to do an MBA and is in the reach of people who aspire to do an MBA and do not want to spend huge money there are universities in market who charge more than 10 lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I haven't availed any loan facility and I think scholarship facility is there but one needs to check at the reception for this as I am not sure of the criteria and the how much money scholarship is provided.

Campus Life :

Campus life is good, students for good financial background came as many have their own business and they are just doing MBA for the sake of time pass. Lab is there, debates competition do happen inter-colleges and prizes will be distributed for the best debate.

Hostel Facilities :

No hostel for girls, only boys hostel is available inside college campus. I don't know the charges as I do not opt for the hostel facility. I guess it should be around Rs 25000 approx. for a year. Facility for hostel is good and many outside students opt for this facility as college infrastructure is good.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni is there but they don't do much to maintains relations with alumni. We never have our alumni meet since years, I don't know if they send invite to some specific student or something else.

Exam Structure :

4 semester of 6 month each, exam were not chilled out, one has to write a lot to get good marks. Mostly the questions are theoretical and one has o write almost 40 pages in 3 hours to get good marks.

Admission :

One has to fill the online form, I have paid Rs. 1100 as exam fees. After that, you have to give written examination and then the result will be declared after a month. Then one has to check the cutoff ranking for 1 counselling than 2nd and 3 rd counselling do happen every year. As per the ranking one has to attend the counselling in one of the colleges mentioned on IP website on the designated dates.

Faculty :

The faculty was average some teacher were good, some were average. They will teach you as per the curriculum and notes will be provided to pass the exam. The faculty is in itself is restricted as there is a pre-defined format every year for teaching and no one is encouraged to do things as per other good B schools.

Placement Experience:

Final placements start in the month of November. Many MNCs, startups, foreign companies and companies from different sectors visits the campus for summer internships and final placements as well. Placement activities take place in 2 phases. Profiles offered by the companies are at par the positions offered to IIM and other B School graduates. Almost 100% of the students are placed every year. Highest placement goes up to 32 lakhs, the average is 22 lakhs and the median package is 20 lakhs. The figures are almost the same for all the specializations that DMS offers. There are enormous opportunities for students of each specialization. Overall placement scenario at DMS is good.

The industrial exposures with the modern approach toward industry and corporate sector attracted me the most. I was interviewed at 2 levels by the senior faculty of the college itself.

Remarks:

The institute has the one of the best library, where I can find the different books for their studies. But not all books that are issued form the institute is relevant to syllabus so I have to purchase the books. The institute has the online portal that make me comfort in my studies and I can also go for the last year question papers from the portal.
