Remarks :
I had applied to many colleges on the basis of jee mains score through JoSSA. From which I got GGV. I got selected on the basis of the general all India rank of jee mains which was around 49000. Admission criteria for this program should be 12th pass and should have qualified to jee mains there is always different cut off for the admission because they have to fill all 50-60 sheats. They had also filled sheats through local counseling, you can go to the website of ggv and apply, maybe they had started entrance exam for the admission nowadays. My admission process was very smooth, I had to go and report at the university, verify the original documents by the responsible authority and then submit the photocopy of that documents and then take the registration form from them. Then good to go to the hostel and show them the form then they would allow.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I wanted to make a career in the IT industry, faculty: student ratio is approximately 1:14. There are 10 to 13 professors and around 180 students of all (1,2,3,4) years. All faculties are well qualified and experienced. From 13 3-4 are Ph.D. holders including HoD and all others are assistant professors. Teaching methods are on an average level they will only complete syllabus and guide you through which resource you can follow and give assignments on a timely basis and will teach everything which would be on the syllabus given by them at the starting of every semester. Term exams will be held every time according to the academic calendar released by the university and all term exams and holidays are followed according to the academic calendar. There is not that difficult to pass the exams because whatever the professor teaches you and gives you the assignments exams questions will come from them so if you attend the classes regularly and attentively you will easily pass the exams.
Placement Experience :
From 7th semester students eligible for the campus placement, there are not so many on-campus placements in our time there were only 2-4 companies visited one is Gemini Solns and One is Coriolis which made 4-5 offers. And all other students give off-campus from which 5 are selected in tcs ninja and one selected in Goldman sachs and students have to fight off-campus or for higher education. The average package of students is 4 lacs for software developers. Mostly 40% of the students got placed off-campus placements including otherwise approx. 10%. I am working in a software company right now.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We had fees of around 15000 per semester but that will increase according to the ordinance which is followed by the university. But on average, this college is best if you are want to do a B.Tech at low fees. It has the lowest fee structure. and from which it will provide Central library, Departmental Library and Games facility and also include techfest fees. I didn't get any scholarship but many of my friends who is from SC, ST got scholarship they have a separate department for scholarship ST, SC cell. There is not so much on campus placement opportunity In my time there were only 3-4 companies were visited they had also selected very fewer candidates but we can fight in off-campus placements which is open for all and most of my friends got a good job from off-campus placements and many proceed for higher education like Gate, Cat.
Campus Life :
Tech fest name is EQUILIBRIO and conducted in January every year. there is a big central library in which every book is present in every department and also a department library where specified books of that specific department. Every classroom is full of amenities that it requires and in every department, there is 1 smart room equipped with an android screen and one with a projector screen and laboratory for every subject like networking and programming labs. Every year Inter department sports competition is conducted. There is one football ground, 3 cricket grounds, two volleyball grounds, two badminton courts and many more. there is one music and dance group, one social group, and one yearly magazine group Udaan and google student developer club of the CSE department run by students.
Hostel Facilities :
One room will be shared between two students they will give one table, one chair, one almirah and one bed per person, and wifi provided by MHRD. meal quality is not of good level but if you are living in the hostel for many years then there will be no problem(like me). The menu will be decided by the mess representatives which are selected among the students. The selection process is based on a merit list which is taken out on the basis of percentage of particular students and there are limited seats in a hostel for every year students. I had also lived in PG for some time you got 1500 per month single room in Ramayan Nagar and river view colony nearby University.
