Remarks :

I applied for the course of MCA that is Master of Computer Applications at the Department of Computer Science, University of Delhi through the main Delhi University website. The admission process starts in March. After going through the admission process, finally, you appear for the entrance exam in around June or July. Then the results are rolled out a month later. If your score is good you are selected and have to appear for an on-campus interview. Eligibility for General - 60%, SC - 55% in their Bachelor's degree. The placements here are very good, almost 80% of students get placed every year. Companies like Amazon, InfoEdge, PayTm, etc. visit the campus. The faculty is good and all the teachers are very helpful. The seniors also help you out a lot with studies and placements. Peer culture is amazing. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is good. Starts with easy concepts to familiarize the student with all the subjects. The teaching methods are good as well, teachers here don't assume that students are pro. They always focus on laying the foundation first. I heard a lot about DUCS and all the good reviews of other students made me choose this college for MCA. The best MCA course in Delhi is at Delhi University only. There is a proper schedule for exams and a particular datasheet is followed. Everything is done according to the predefined timelines for exams, events, or other activities.

Placement Experience :

From semester 5, that is, as soon as the 3rd year starts, students are eligible for campus placements. Companies start visiting the campus around July. Almost 75-80% of students get placed every year. Big companies like Amazon, InfoEdge, Paytm, etc. visit the campus with great packages like 15LPA, the highest this year. Most of the job descriptions are for the role of SDE which consists of FTE + Internship. Internships start in the month of January in the last semester. As soon as the course is over, students join for their full time. But there are other roles as well, like BA and companies like Axtria, Thorogood offer this role.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee here for this course is minimal, as is the case with almost all the courses in DU. Du is known for affordable education. Every student can avail of quality education at an affordable price here at the Department of Computer Science, Delhi University.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure is good. It's very modern. All the facilities are provided to students like computer labs, auditorium, hygienic classrooms, and bathrooms. Students can also have access to their own lockers if they live far. The canteen here is also good, you can get anything to eat at cheap prices. The Central Science Library, a huge library, allows students to get access almost any book that will help them with their studies. Campus life is amazing. There are events like Diwali fest, Hackathons, farewell, freshers, etc. Students get to enjoy a lot. Outside the campus, there are various hotspots where students can go and have fun like Maggi points, chai points, other great eating places, so many of them. DUCS also has its own cool website for their annual tech fest SANKALAN.

JNU for Overall development

Placement Experience:

Placements are average. Only 50% of students are placed yet. In the third semester, companies start visiting campus. Some of the companies are OPTUM, CIENA, XCALIBERATE, and KNOLDUS. The highest package is 14.5 LPA by Optum and the average is around 6-7 LPA. One can choose Ph.D. as an option if one didn't get placed.

Good Things: + Good Faculty + Good Labs + Good Placement Bad Things: - Uniform 4 days out of 6 - Saturday College is open - Tough Exams - So many assignments Overall, college will make you cry for 3 years if you are coming from DU or some other university, but definitely that is good for you/your future and you will get good placement/job.
