Entrance Preview :
I appeared AIEEE and MH-CET exams. I was admitted on AIEEE score of 168. This in the most reputed, disciplined and strict institute in Navi Mumbai. A graduate from this college is always considered better than any other college in Navi Mumbai
Course Curriculum Overview :
It is affiliated to Mumbai university till today and might become autonomous in future. As compared to other institutes where teaching is very poor and students struggle to pass exams, this college has teachers that teach too much and students struggle to maintain study-life balance.
Internships Opportunities :
I am BE graduate so I don't know about what stipend or internships are given to ME students. For BE students the internships are optional. Students do internship and training with their own contacts. Learn something practical in companies that too only in vacation periods. No special time is given for internship outside.
Placement Experience :
Placements are best as compared to other colleges in Navi Mumbai. In my experience there was drop in placements because of the downfall in market recently. Otherwise placements are really good. They arrange training programs for students, guest lectures from known CAT GRE GMAT training institutes. But the actual effort has to be put by student to get placements.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees are decided by shikshan shulk samiti. It's above one lakhs for OPEN category. Around 50k for OBCs. And nominal for rest. Management seats are very expensive in terms of donations. Almost five times. There is provision for EBC (economically backward class) students who get an amount refund from paid fees.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I don't think there is any such provision. At least for BE students I haven't heard anyone getting scholarship or loans. Again I don't know about ME students. Students do work hard to get scholarships abroad for MS in US and European countries.
Campus Life :
Well gender wise college is well balanced. Mechanical has least girls and IT has majority of girls and less boys. There are Fresher's party, farewell party, jam sessions, in festival. Many technical, art and craft work shops are arranged in festivals. They are interesting. No political parties are involved. But this college does has Christian minority status.
Hostel Facilities :
Triple sharing hostel. Rooms are some what spacious. Can't talk about privacy. Wi-Fi available. Common toilets and bathrooms on each floor. Canteen is common for all. Hostelites get breakfast lunch and dinner with total cost of around 35-40k. Food quality is not so good.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure is the worst. They have assignment tests every week. Units tests as per university guidelines conducted under high pressure on students.
Admission :
I appeared for CAP (common admission process) and listed this college on top of my list. It was allotted in round 2. I got the AIEEE score reserved seat. CET cut offs of this college were very high around 160 for mechanical, I was having 149 in CET and 168 in AIEEE. so the admission process algorithm allots seats based on whichever score fetches the best seat.
