Remarks :

Only apply for this college. Didn't avail any quota. No age limit. Keeping 80% in HS will be helpful during placements. Counseling was of 2 rounds followed by a mop-up round. You need to be resident of West Bengal

Course Curriculum Overview :

I like physical understanding. So I choose mechanical engineering. Very good faculty to student ratio. All the facilities are PhD holders. Exams are difficult. But if studied regularly 75% is achievable.

Class Size : 145Course Fees : INR 8000 per year

Placement Experience :

From 7/8th semester students are eligible for campus placements. IT companies like TCS, INFOSYS, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, GOOGLE, COGNIZANT, CAPGEMINI TECH MAHINDRA , AIRBUS, GAIL, BOEING, PWC, TATA STEEL, TATA MOTORS, L&T and countless others visit the campus for offering jobs. Packages shoot upto 60 LPA, and averages around 10 LPA. In the non core sector placement is almost 100%. And in the core sector placement is almost 30% ( DUE TO COVID)

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are almost 200 rs per month. So cost will not be an issue. And cost is kept almost constant over the years. There is SVMCM scholarship also in which the student is given 5000 per month. I am in the 2nd year. So I'm not eligible for placements

Campus Life :

You'll love the campus. Annual fest, tech fest are generally held every year. Library is enriched with books, journals. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. There is a huge ground. Also table tennis , gym facility , basketball facilities are available. Various clubs linke automobile, coding , photography, etc clubs are there

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
