Remarks :

I had applied in BIT sindri but When I got Jadavpur University, I found it a better option. No, I didn't have any quota for admissions. Must have given Wbjee, 45%+ in board exam and 18 years. Admission process was online , it was of 3 round and 1 decentralized round.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Because I have an interest in fluid mechanics, mechanics, thermodynamics. The teachers are very friendly and understanding. They are highly intellectual. The exam was of 2 hours for physics and chemistry and 2 hours for mathematics. Questions were easy but didn't get enough time to solve all questions.

Class Size : 134Course Fees : INR 2500 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Tata, ITC, Britannia, Bharat heavy electricals, etc. Projects are given on research based things. Students should have knowledge of NCYS, MATLAB, EDX ,etc. etc. Students get a lot of opportunities and different exposure. They also get paid for this. Fluidonomics project.

Placement Experience :

From 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. GAIL, OYO, Hindustan Pvt Ltd., Around 100 offers are made. Highest LPA 20 lac and avg 8 lac in mechanical engineering. Around 90% of students are getting placed. Preparing for government jobs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The cost of study is very low. 2500 per year i.e. 10000 for the whole course. SVMCM is the scholarship for bengal students , state govt provides free laptop to many students who are not financially stable.

Campus Life :

Annual fest was very good and well organised. Many personalities also came to campus. In Library, books of different authors are available which is more than sufficient for any kind of students. Every sport is being played in many organized events. Jadavpur University drama club, Jadavpur University dance club, Jadavpur University Motor sports club etc.

Hostel Facilities :

I have taken a room in the building. I have taken a catering service. Food is somehow good and hygienic and they provide good variety of foods. One should have to apply for a hostel in Jadavpur University and then give the interview if they get selected. Near to Jadavpur University.

Hostel Fee : INR 300 per year

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
